hey um, idrk why i felt the need to post this, but here i am anyway. i've been doing decently well lately. now that essence festival is over where i am, things have died down work-wise for me (if you call what i did a job, though i made plenty of money). now i'm kind of just at my dad's house, either doing school-related things, reading, or wasting away in my room in front of my nintendo switch. mario kart has been going surprisingly well for me, especially more recently (when i'm not randomly washed). i've gotten much better at using my items, navigating tracks, and even consistently beating (or at least coming close to) players with higher vr. honestly, though, versus rating doesn't really matter, since anyone with enough skill can just pick up a controller and beat everyone and they only have 1k. i myself only have maybe 17k, because i'm only at my father's for summers and holidays. you earn vr by racing and finishing in the top half. it takes awhile to accumulate it all since the best you can get per race is 32 or smth in first place. (you start at 1k the first time you play mk8dx online) it's been kind of fun but also kind of intense, since you will at times have a bunch of aggressive spammers and targetshock-happy players and then a random 99k to deal with, all in one lobby. but it's doable. i've stopped getting so annoyed at going from 2nd to maybe 9th on lap 3 over a stray green because that's really the fun of the game. and ofc you've got my absolute WIFE of all time, lluvia (hi honeybun hello). while my lack of a phone has prevented me from talking to her quickly and consistently, we can still talk and that's really all that matters to me. we play smash bros arenas and 8dx regionals sometimes as well, just like old times. if you're reading this, lluvia, here's a kind reminder that ily, and a big gay hug / MWAH. that's honestly all the big things. other smaller things include: i'm a rising senior, and will be starting my last year of high school in the middle of next month. and, i am going on vacation probably, at some point this month. and lluvia and i have been together for two months as of yesterday, and we will have known each other for a year as of tomorrow. like, time kinda flew :sob: please, take care of yourselves and enjoy the rest of your summer. and um someone mail me a nintendo eshop gift card bc my online kinda runs out today ._.
