"Like that makes it any better" I mumbled... I continued to eat the chocolate cookie snacks. I then laid my head on the table and stared around the boring, dim, room. A forest seemed to warp around me and my skin turned into fur, and I went on 4 legs. Everything was covered in lush green with big trees. I could smell something crisp, and slightly sweet. I saw a big juicy apple, my paws and legs squeezed against the trees and up I climbed. Claws clutched tight against the bark. Time to eat the- RING RING RING! "Time for science class!" My surroundings faded back into the room, and dim classrooms with fairy lights and the posters saying different things you needed to know about writing. I realized that the forest, was a daydream. We all lined up in a wonky line, as Mrs. Viper yelled for us to line up straightly. We lined up in a close enough line and Mrs. Viper allowed it. We entered the cold but welcoming room after facing the heat of outside. "Outside seemed to warm up..." I whispered when we set our backpacks down and sat down. "Get the daily assignment out and work on it. When you're done, put it in the tray, and pick up the sheet for our assignment. When everyone's done-" The words faded away as I started to get lost in thought. ' Didn't she say the same thing last time? Oh, hey Ava's birthday is next week! Wait, I could read 5 chapters of my long book and that could equal the length of today. Books need to be longer...' I thought. I snapped back to listen to the teacher. "-do step 5 which is assembling the magnets together to pick up the magnet." continued saying the teacher. "How much did I miss? Wait, isn't this the same thing we did in 4th grade? They always do the same lessons every year!" I talked to myself.
