Training With Clara [] Upd. 003- Today, I brought my filly, Clara, out to the area for the biggest amount of training she's ever had. Other than halter training. But this was the longest training session. Clara is almost 11 months, I'd say. If I miss sized her, I am sorry. She will be a yearling very soon, probably after the next ever update I make. I do not know for certain what I will train her to do, but she loves to go fast and has lots of energy, but seems to naturally control her body with ease. I think she would do amazingly with showjumping. Anyway, today, I took Clara to the arena for training. She is halter trained, but I was a bit nervous to lead her around in the arena for longer than normal. I started by just leading Clara to the arena. Once we were both in, I took her halter off so she would relax and I let her come to me when she was ready so I wouldn't spook her. She watched me for a bit then aproached me and stuck her nuzzle in my arm. Then, I put her halter on her and we had a good walk around the arena. She was very energetic and she did try to walk me rather I walk her, but that's simply the way she works I'm afraid. I will try hard to train her out of that, but it may not work out. Next, I brought out the beloved pool noodle. At first, she was very calm. She didn't notice it at first, but did approach it and boop it with her muzzle. Whatever happened, it fully spooked her and she bounced back. I put it away, but she was still very nervous. I waited and she watched me very closely and silently. But after not long, she buried her muzzle in my arm and then rested her head on my shoulder. Then we both sat down together for a cuddling session. Honestly, Clara did better than I hoped for her to do. She did spook at the pool noodle, BUT she regained confidence quickly. Overall, this session was amazing. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Clara [] @AussieAbby Rider [] @-TheConjuring Halter [] @DoggyHorsey BG [] Me
