Upd. 002 [] Schooling Rolo- Today, I took Rolo to the arena for some schooling. He has been doing good with most of his riding lately, but has been faltering on bigger size jumps, like in XC. He seems to approach it, slow down, then hesitate, and hit the poles. So, I decided that today, we would work together on smaller jumps to regain the confidence he seems to have lost, so we worked on some cavelettis. We trotted first, and we got nearly all of them perfectly. The only reason a single one was missed was because a squirrel found it's way into the arena, spooking Rolo so that he shyed away, but other than that, it was all good. We did some jumping the other direction then slowed it down and had a relaxing walk, trot and canter before I dismounted. I KNOW WHAT YOU"RE THINKING. Cantering isn't very relaxing for your horse you ride, but Rolo is really quite enegetic. He loves to randomly have a good gallop around his pasture in his free time, so cantering really does relax him a bit. At the end of the day, I gave him a nice rinse because the heat is so bad and he was sweating alot. Afterwards, he had a long roll in the dirt and got very filthy. At the end of the day, he did good. He still has issues with bossieness, but those can be smoothed out later. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Rolo [] @p0ny1212 Tack [] @IntrovertedKeeper Rider [] @TheConjuring- BG [] Me
