My longest typed recap is out here: The season 4 FINALS in the postseason is officially done. South Beach has SWEPT LA and QUB, leading to them reaching a perfect 9-0 and one of the GREATEST gaming league teams in the HISTORY of not only SLOG, but a whole lot of leagues. Some background on South Beach. They were founded by @yowzaTV after he tried to relocate Indiana, but when I refused to rebrand Indiana, I allowed him to create an expansion franchise that took everything from Indiana but the history. So technically, SBF is the youngest team in SLOG, and would be the equivalent of HOU winning the super bowl. Every season SBF has played in, they have always qualified for the postseason, with S2 being the #5 just passing by QUB, S3 being the #3 seed originally, but defeating QUB to become the #2, and getting their first finals win, but wasn't enough as LA beat them in 3, the fastest SLOG Finals at the time and didn't go to a Game 4. Welp this season, led by Pengui, Marcus, meadows, and DJ (Yowza gets the title too since he technically remained on the team the entire season and did play a game lol), had a undefeated run, proving that star power is one thing, but a deep roster is very important in this day and age. Congrats to the Pacers for their first ever title! LA: Tough season for LA, as this was the first time in 4 seasons that they lost the 1 seed, by SBF as well in the USA Conf Champ game, reaching a record of 6-1. They defeated QUB in the qualifier, reaching an impressive 7-1 record, only 1 more loss than the SBF's 7-0. And LA looked to surpass SBF in that regard too, defeating them in game 1 to tie up the records as 8-1 and ending SBF's undefeated run in the process... until Mehlon broke the rules and didn't take a full SS, which voided his score and gave SBF the shock upset win. After that LA couldn't recover, and they didn't even score high enough in the 2nd game and finished 3rd, but overall they came 2nd. Congrats to LA for the season, and if TSD does leave, hopefully they can find a new suitor to lead the LA dyansty. QUB: Another good effort from this team, but yet again in 2 finals QUB have not even gotten a single victory. VAN and IND, while not having a championship, at least have 1 victory and were only 1 win away. QUB stood no chance, as they are the only SLOG team that had made the finals and not win a single game. If they ever want to win a title, they really have to rebuild this team and add more star power. But overall what a season for QUB, winning another Canada Conf and remaining as Canada's strongest team, Quebec looks to learn from this again, and compete again to finally lift the title. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - South Beach have won game 1 after LA's mehlon score gets voided. This means SBF is only 1 game away from a title. LA and QUB need 2 wins out of 3. Game 2's gonna be intense.
