Update 001 [] Riding Cobalt- Today, I took my blue roan mustang, Cobalt, out to the arena. He was calm during tack up, but did dislike me cleaning his hooves. When I went to clean his last hoof, he was very anxious about it. He moved away from me when I touched his leg and wouldn't let me get close enough to pick his foot up. I got a little help and eventually, I got it cleaned, so we headed to the arena. Once I was mounted, Cobalt was very ready to start going, but I always start with walking, so I tightened the reigns, but we had a very fast walk. I slowed him so that it was more controlled. We worked with this for about an half hour, but He will defienetly need some training on that, although he isn't doing bad at all. We sped up to a trot and I was very tight on the reigns so he wouldn't canter. Once we had trotted about 5 times each way( Don't ask me why so many, there were breaks in between of course and he didn't improve as much until the fourth round on one direction, so we did do a lot of trotting. ) When we finished that, I dismounted and we did one round each way inhand walking. Afterwards, I took off his tack and put him to pasture, which he thouroughly enjoyed. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Colbat [] @Smelator Rider [] @TheConjuring- Tack [] @DoggyHorsey BG [] Me
