Tw: de4th in all forms Fun fact: ivy got all her scars trying to hunt -sharp rocks, claws, beaks, you name it and it’s a reason (probably). Ivy’s stomach growled. A caged beast wanting to come out. Destroying her from the inside, slowly, almost unnoticeable at first. You could see every bone sticking out at awkward angles. Each step felt like she might fall down and just sit there not bothering to get up. trying in vain to hunt each time feeling a little more broken that she couldn’t. Hunting was never Ivy’s thing as her mentor had died and no one came forward and taught her so in the end she learned through trial and error leaving many scars inside and out. On this particular day there was blue all around the sky no clouds to be seen. Was the Sun slightly warmer than usual? Was there the comfort of food in her belly? Today it felt like it although food was starting to seem like something from a dream maybe a feverish one she thought. Exhausted she plodded to a tiny clearing where the sun snaked through leaves and warmed her coat. Voices. Her mum maybe? She had never met her mum but maybe she was coming back for her. To love her. Care for her. gently whisper words of comfort when she was feeling down. “Mother?” Her lips were cracked and dry barely audible. Then it hit her. Death. This was death. Waterfalls came crashing down. The sun that had warmed her pelt felt like cruel mockery. The grass full of prickles. No chance to love someone. To learn. To laugh with friends. To be a mum herself. One that actually cared. Her thoughts spun. Darker and darker. Until she was no longer the cat scared of death. “If you want me then hurry up with it!” She yelled to know one and everyone. Well only if you classified a whisper as a yell but she was trying. Cheep. Cheep. Cheeep. “Oh bog off bird!” ChEeeP! The bird fell out of the tree it had been perched in. A robin that could only be a fledgling. “What are you doing away from mossclan little one?” Ivy tried to make her voice soft as she didn’t want to scare it to death. CHEEP. “Ruddy” shy whispered as her eyes fluttered shut for the last time. That is what she called her new friend as his feathers were a ruddy brown-ish red. No. Not her friend. Her family. Ivy’s fledgling. The one that cared.
All art by mee Ivy was Designed by @Moon11Sun55 Owned by me Autumn was mine. Please don’t comment on autumn’s death it doesn’t help thnx for understanding ————————————————————————— Sooo this is really old art but it actually tells a story of its own. My cat - autumn - died of cancer 2 years and 23 days ago today. On my b-day. The art actually symbolizes what it felt like. The grid in the background was a cage holding my thoughts and heart hostage. The smudges were the empty space where she had been. The light were the candles on my cake, long forgotten and melting away. They were green too. I made this on a day where it felt like there was chunks of me cut out leaving holes like a slice of Swiss cheese.
