★The Diary of a Champion: Part 1★ Chapter 6: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1351153185 ____________________________________________ Chapter 7: I awoke to a rustling noise coming from the direction of the final shrine. Getting up from my makeshift bed, I followed the strange sound after picking up my satchel. It led me to a floating balloon revolving in a circular motion. I grabbed a Bokoblin horn from my pocket and used it as a throwing knife. I hurled it at the balloon and hit it dead center. The balloon popped and collapsed to the ground! Afterward, a stumpy korok with a maple leaf for a face emerged from under the balloon's torn fabric and handed another one of those putrid-smelling golden things. I stashed it away and began the day's trek to the shrine at the peak of the Great Plateau. As I climbed, I felt the temperature drop and the air thin. I had to continue, however. I stopped just before a patch of snow and lay down a cooking pot. I gathered a numerous Hyrule Herbs and threw a few spicy peppers in the pot as well. Finally, I tossed rock salt to complete the meal. Once it finished cooking, I stuffed the spicy salad into my mouth and downed some water from a nearby stream. The spice warmed me and it gave me the energy I needed to make the treacherous climb to the snow-covered peak. Along my way to the shrine, I met a Lizalfos and felled it with a mere 2 swings of my trusty traveler's sword. I was rewarded with a Lizal horn and tail, plus its weapons, a boomerang and sturdy, metal shield. My arsenal was growing, so I decided to try something new with my shield I picked up from the green Lizalfos. I hopped onto the shield and used it as a snowboard! This proved to be extremely fun and efficient; however, it took me back down the mountain away from the shrine! Discouraged by the loss of progress, I dismounted my shield and started up the mountain again. Two good things I would have otherwise, not encountered if I hadn't gone back down the hill came my way. The first of these things was a chest containing a traveler's shield and a ruby! The ruby was worthless now, because I hadn't seen a soul besides the old man in 100 years, but the shield would be helpful in the moment. The second gift was at another peak I came across, since when I shieldsurfed, I went west, not just south. This peak was the grave of nonother than King Rhoam's grave! I found the old man at the top, which proved to be a nice surprise, because he gifted me a Warm Doublet, so I no longer would freeze to death. I contemplated why he was here, but I guess he wanted to honor Hyrule's dead king and reward me for the climb. About an hour later, I had warded off a moblin, two more lizalfos, five bokoblins, too many keese to count, and crossed a deadly stream I nearly froze to death and drowned in! Exhausted, I clambered up to the shrine's snow-covered platform and wiped the debris off the pedestal and sank the shiekah slate into it. The fascinating futuristic door opened up, and I slipped on the ice of the shrine's platform when I tried to walk into the elevator! My ruby came out of its pocket and I dove for it, retrieving it just before it would've slammed against the elevator wall. You know the drill by now. The shiekah slate gives me a new ability, I use it to progress through the mini-dungeon, and I get a spirit orb. I did just that and the rune this time was Cryonis, which lets me place huge ice blocks in the water and even upturn enemies in the water or use it as platforms to traverse rivers! I fought a guardian scout and comboed it by upturning it with cryonis, freezing it in mid-air with stasis, then while it was in stasis, I bombed it a bunch and it went flying! I windbombed to it and caught it with magnesis and before I knew it, I was at the end of the shrine, having way too much thrill, considering how tired I was. The shocked sheikah elder granted me my fourth Spirit Orb and I was teleported against my will, sadly to the cold outside of the shrine. The old man proceeded to come to me in a vision, reminding me to meet him at the temple of time's bell tower, and I shrugged him off, content with my new warm doublet in place of that old shirt and I had a blast the rest of my day shieldsurfing down to the temple of time. ____________________________________________ Chapter 8: Image from google search Music from Archive.org
