Default password is osh Fullscreen mode is highly recommended when using, as clicks may sometimes not go through on such a small viewport when not in fullscreen. To close the application, click either the hide/close buttons at the top, or press [W]. Q&A: Q: How do I... login? A: Read the top. Q: Backgrounds. Where did you get the inspiration? A: For me, I try to make backgrounds that each tailor to as much genres as possible, and ensure that each theme has a wallpaper that fits well with its UI elements. Q: Name. Why "Netune OS"? A: At that time, I was thinking of a portmanteau of the words "Neptune" and "Net", and "Net-tune" just sounded good at that time. No further explanations :D Q: Themes. What can they do? A: They can change the look and feel of the UI, from icons, buttons, taskbar, sound, and even the desktop layout itself! Q: Why doesn't the browser work? A: Because right now I'm too lazy to make some webpages, so have a 404 error. Might get to it... sometime? Q: Why is the code so hard to read? A: To cut down on the amount of blocks I use (and subsequently load time), I sometimes use some... shortcuts when it comes to coding, at the cost of readability though. For me, I don't particularly care that much, though I'm aware this makes it more of a pain to remix. Q: are you blue A: yes, amd an violet. D
Note: As of now, I've been kind of burnt out on making new OSes... so here, have this little update, even if it's... incomplete. If you don't know what this is, or you're new here, this is a release of my series of OS sims, Netune OS. This specific version supersedes release/project "Netune OS 8.6." Release notes are available below. Version 8.6_two Changes: -"Asexual" wallpaper refreshed... with a new theme behind it. Get it? ACExual? -Green-You theme heavily revamped. Welcome to dark mode (again)! -Minor artwork changes in all other themes. -Wallpaper selection pages now all show up at once. Fixes: -Applications appearing multiple times in recent logs. -(Not Tested) Settings... just not animating properly. ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// PREVIOUS RELEASE: Version 8.6 Changes: -MAJOR: Added languages! Hallo, Hola, Bonjour, こんにちは, and 你好! (NOTE: Translations may be incomplete!) -Ability to hide time and date indicators from the bar have been added. -Calculator will now display the WHOLE number again, instead of just truncating it. (by shrinking) -Calendar applet added to the panel. To access, click on the current date on the top-right... or bottom-right, depending on which theme you apply. -Heavily redesigned login screens for all themes. -New wallpapers added: Chill Uphill, Confetti, Waterfall Castle, Pastello!, Fluidity, Cliffyside, and Scratchy Cats. -Power off button added to login screen. -Slightly improved artwork/UI for New, Green-You, and Aero themes. -Sound scheme for Green-You theme replaced. Fixed: -Artwork and keybinding remnants from previous versions, should be redone now. -Clones of window sprites gradually accumulating. -Displayed date not updating before login. -Network bar panel incorrectly showing after rebooting. -Time text may not place shadows correctly in Aero theme. Where's 8.1 and others? Why start at 8.2?? Eh, this is all based off an old project of mine back in late 2023. So yep, there's a 1.0, it's just... too amateur-ish. ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Here are the actual credits. Songs: -Chappell Roan was sung and written by Chappell Roan. -"Through the Fire and Flames" was performed by the band DragonForce. -"Undersouls" was a remix composed by artist shimaL for the album UNDERVEIL. -"Never Be Alone" was composed, and published by TheFatRat. Misc: -A few people for helping test these projects (before sharing), and reporting issues for me to fix. -Startup and shutdown sound effects sourced from SUSE Linux 10, Material Design 3, and Sam Hulick (who made the proposed Ubuntu 14.04 start sounds.) -The text engine used for the time, date, and calculator display is a remix of 's text engine. -Darkmist theme is a remaster of the desktop used in another OS sim of mine, project:OS 10. -Green-You theme... obviously draws heavy inspiration from the Material You UI design by Google. -Aero theme in this sim was heavily inspired and based upon Windows Vista, Windows 7, KDE Plasma 4, GNOME 2, and GNOME 3.0. The icons for said theme were heavily inspired/influenced by the Tango Desktop Project.
