The scratch cat head bounces, has velocity and friction. Use < and > arrow keys. There is a bug that the speed-up mechanic sometimes doesn't work but it only happens if you hit the wall so think of it as being dazed. Just stop holding down the button you were using and you should be fine. It doesn't happen often.
