A loner group centered first and foremost around birds. We are currently planning on situating our Rookery (base camp) around the Lake of Longing, possibly at H7. The Winged provide an alternative to clan structure, allowing cats to find a calling and be praised for their talents rather than being expected to be a generalist. It also provides a clearer pathway to power for those destined to lead. All it takes is one leap of faith to break free from StarClan's claws. The Winged will give you the push. _______________________ ˚.⋆꒰১ Winglets ໒꒱⋆.˚ The Winged is broken up into three ‘Winglets’ or groups that represent a different kind of caretaking for The Rookery, the territory, and The Winged as a whole. Falcons - These are the strongest and bravest members; they are in charge of constant vigilance and protection of their home. They are expected to be talented fighters and diligent in patrolling and defending their home. To be clear, these members will patrol frequently especially if they hope to rise the ranks. They tend to have the greatest level of control and power within the group. Crows - These are The Winged’s craftiest and most intelligent. They are in charge of constant hunting and caretaking of The Winged's camp through construction, repair, acquisition of resources, and so much more. Crows are in charge of strategy and coordinating with other groups. In many ways, they are the heart of the Winged. As the brain, so to speak, of the operation, they are in charge of all planning. Owls - These are the spiritual leaders and caretakers of the Wined. Owls are responsible for stargazing, the well-being of kits and older members, and most importantly, healing those sick or injured. They do little resource gathering, as that is left to the crows. As a result, Owls are left as the patrons of the Rookery and have final say over all Rookery matters. _______________________ ˚.⋆꒰১ Roles ໒꒱⋆.˚ One of the major changes made by the new Winged leadership was to create a tighter system of ranks in order to keep order intact. The following are listed in order of power and influence. Knights- These are the leaders of the Winged; there is one per Winglet, and they work with one another to ensure that the group's needs are met; all of their decisions are final. These members wear the skull of their Winglets patron bird as a helmet to denote their rank. Councils- These are the second in command, and those whole will replace the Knights if and when they die, the council provide advice to the Knights, but other than that hold little control over large decisions. They are, however, responsible for ensuring the coordination occurs within their Winglet and tasks are completed on an individual level. These cats wear the talons of their Winglets patron birds as earrings to denote their rank. Captains- These members hold power over members but are largely there to create a point person or someone to look to in the event that neither a Council or Knight is available. Unlike the two ranks above there can be as many Captains as a Knight chooses to appoint, but there are generally between two and five. These cats wear feather bracelets around their forearms to denote their rank. Members- While not an official title, this group is important to the functioning of The Winged as a whole; they work to get things done, heal what’s broken, fight any intruders, hunt for resources and whatever else their Winglet or the Winged requires of them. These members often wear feathers or bones from their patron bird, but it is not a requirement. Tiros- All new members of the Winged will begin as Tiros as they learn the ropes of their new home. They are expected to learn quickly and train diligently, as well as consider where they hope to end up. While they are assigned a Member or Captain to mentor them, it is not a requirement for them to join the Winglet of their mentor. These cats may not wear any accessory gathered from their patron bird. _______________________ ˚.⋆꒰১ Names ໒꒱⋆.˚ WIP _______________________ ˚.⋆꒰১ Oath ໒꒱⋆.˚ The original /Crows/ struck a blood oath to secure the success of their dream, and in that memory, each joining member must swear an oath to the Winged, whether it is a blood oath or not is up to a cat's preference.
