Lovey was happy about the bath, he really was. Do you know how hard it is to get such a clean and thorough bath outside of the Capitol and hell, maybe District 1? Significantly. The makeup was another story. What's the point? What. Is. The. Point? To give him a bath and then suddenly there's paws that've been god-knows-where all over his face?? Smearing weird powder all over? Drawing on his face? And they didn't ask his allergies either. He could die from this! What's in that stuff? But his struggling was only met with a couple peacekeepers holding him strictly back as he gritted his teeth in frustration. AND THEN, they brought out the costume. Their paws went all over the fabric as they handed it to him. It had sparks flying all over it and they tried to accessorize him with wires. UNSAFE!!!!!! Lovey's jaw fell open in horror and he felt suddenly lightheaded and dizzy. Maybe from an allergic reaction to the makeup. Or maybe he was being *electrocuted* to death ALREADY. They couldn't be serious. There was no way. There was no way there--- AND THEN, do you know what they did? Do you know what they thought would be the perfect cherry on top? You wanna know? THEY STUCK LOVEY ON AN *OLD* SMELLY TRAIN with SMOKE pouring out the top. If the train on the way here didn't trigger Lovey's asthma, you know what would? THIS ONE. INSANE. THESE CATS WERE INSANE. YOU'D THINK THE DEATH GAMES WOULD BE THE WORST PART BUT NOOOO. You know? Lovey had a whole speech for the audience planned out. He was going to talk about all the ways the Capitol is evil and how they killed Birdie and now they wanted to kill him too. He couldn't do it anymore. He couldn't when the torture was already too much. What happened to nice clean parades in hot air laterns or neon-themed chariots? Why are they doing this to him? Lovey was wide-eyed, frozen in place, ears pinned back, and fur prickling beneath the white suit with sparks coming out of him, too close to his fur for comfort. He looked around at the Capitol audience and tried to speak, but the words died in his throat, forming a nervous cough instead. Or maybe that was the asthma. He was doomed. Completely and utterly doomed.
