1. USE REFS I SWEAR 2. No matter what ppl say, tracing is not an art sin, just don't claim it as your own and use it to LEARN 3. Watch youtube vids. I find them more helpful than how-to-draw books, so yeah 4. Make art studies. They help SO much, trust me 5. Listen to music to get creative juice flowing 6. flip ur canvas to see flaws, or take a pic of your traditional art and flip it 7. Color Palettes! They make your art cohesive 8. KEEP A SKETCHBOOK(and keep it messy) 9. Make art for you, whenever you want(otherwise art block) 10. Be less harsh on yourself, but don't get cocky either 11. Don't compare your art with other artists' work 12. Talk with other artists! 13. Draw everything, but draw what you love 14. Learn color theory, not just like normal color theory but also Chinese color theory maybe 15. not art related, but keep a good posture. U don't want to be a shrimp with back pain. If you are then good luck with life. 16. GOD PLZ LEARN BOTH POSING AND ANATOMY. They r both equally important for a interesting, dynamic, and PHYSICALLY CORRECT art piece 17. Touch grass for once(I see you) 18. Don't raid the art store plz. You can make art with a chewed up pencil for all I care, you just need to put some love and effort into it. 19. Learn fundamentals plz. You don't need to master realism or something but just learn about them. 20. Be uncomfortable and learn 21. Learn to draw what you struggle with, like Hands, Clothing, Lighting, Backgrounds, etc 22. Plz find ur rendering style, don't be like me from a month ago lol
