okay so this is definitely not an excuse for bad animation, but the reason he stays still while in big mode a lot is because he isn't used to having limbs which is why he is a ball most of the time and the reason why hes darker at the end and doesnt move is because he used to much energy and basically like hardened his body to the point where he can no longer shapeshift or move
