It was one of the hardest songs on the album for me to write because anger doesn't come naturally to me. I'm the kind of person who tries to understand and forgive others, even when it means pushing aside my own feelings. I was never truly angry at my now ex-boyfriend throughout my grieving process. The closest I came to that was thinking about what he said when he ended things, and that's what sparked this song (especially the pre-chorus). Looking back, it's funny that the song I struggled to write the most ended up becoming one of—if not my favorite—on the entire album. I hope you enjoy “You Made It Look Easy”! <333
