Following the voluntary integration of Argentina and Bolivia, the Latin American Union has established its long-term vision for the Western Hemisphere. The LAU seeks to peacefully unite the sovereign Latin American nations of the Americas under a single federal government, creating a continent-wide political and economic union capable of ensuring collective security, economic independence, regional prosperity, and equal representation for all member states. The Union's core territory consists of every independent Latin American nation in South America, Central America, and Mexico. With the integration of Argentina and Bolivia, the Southern Cone has become the foundation of the LAU. Remaining Latin American nations are encouraged to pursue voluntary membership through diplomacy and constitutional integration, with peaceful negotiation remaining the Union's preferred path toward continental unity.
