(Press Space for stuff) This is the european hogidile (Aquasus pseudocrocodylus), a descendant of the european boar which has evolved a primarily aquatic lifestyle. Their pattern is actually neotenic, as they have stopped losing their young patterns as adults, because the pattern looks much like the thin shadows of aquatic foliage seeping to the riverbed. The European hoggidile lives a simple life, wading just under the water, usually using their arrowhead shaped snout to root through mud for crayfish and fish eggs, and they may also snap up slow-moving fish nearby. Their favorite food, however, is thirsty landlubbers, they often sit just under the water by the riverbank, and when some poor creature dips it's face into the water for a quick drink, CRASH! The hogidile snaps it's jaws over the face, quickly dragging it into the water to drown it or gore it with it's large tusks and sharp hooves. Despite being so aggressive, the European hoggidile remains a very good parent. Hogidile sows give birth to a litter of two to four piglets, about a quarter of their ancestor's litter, as they are far more protective. They also teach their young to swim, and tend to find a nice home to raise their young in the form of a beaver lodge, although the beavers don't usually mind, as the hogidile protects the beavers and their lodge without taking anything but space.
Thanks to @Alien_Projects for his animals, and thanks to @SeaCheesez for his original Hogidiles!
