-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~- ☎ -~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~- __ SILENCE: An Original Audiobook by @Starryteller __ -~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~- Synopsis: When a girl wakes up one morning deaf, she realizes maybe wishes don’t always come true the way you might think they will. -~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~- More: Silence was originally a short story I wrote for SWC (Scratch Writing Camp), for the March 2024 session by me here on Scratch, that I just felt like I wanted to turn into a short mini audiobook here because I was bored lol, and wanted to make something that I could voice act for just mostly to try my hand at making audiobook episodes again because it’s been a good while! :D (Plus, I just feel like this is one of my rare few like full short stories with an actual beginning, middle, and end xD <3, and I’m still trying to get the motivation right now to finish some of my other projects that I’d hopefully like to turn into voice acted series here sometime in the future! :P) Author’s Note: This idea just randomly popped into my head during this session about a girl who wakes up one morning deaf after I read a quote by Malala Yousafzai. I didn’t expect the ending at all when writing this, but I had brief ideas where I wanted to take it. I wanted to express how we make mistakes that sometimes we can’t take back but how we can learn how we made those mistakes and grow from them. I’m honestly very proud of accomplishing this soulful take on what could happen when the world falls silent.
