FLUFFBUNNIES ~ ORIGINAL SPECIES - please do not use without credit, and share with me what you do with them! :3 - fun fact : the kits in the Warren have the suffix fluff because a group of baby rabbits is called a fluffle! Fluffbunnies are small, round rabbits with feathered wings. While they are an intelligent species, they can communicate only with a collection of noises that range from a cat’s mew to a squeaking sound or chirping like a baby bird. Fluffbunnies are found all over the world, in all different biomes, and have coat colors just like cats. They have no natural defenses, and usually hide underground in huge and organized burrows. Since birth and until they become able to fly, Fluffbunny kits stay in a nest high up in the trees. Some warrens group all the kits in it in a huge nest, and others separate them based on the litter. The nests are usually up in the branches, but not all the way up in the canopy for the best protection from predators and low enough so they don’t fall, which would be fatal. Older rabbits from the Warren are assigned to bring food to the kits in the trees, most of the time from the same family as them. Once the Fluffbunnies are able to fly, they are escorted to the Warren, which is a series of tunnels with a main cave. ~ JOBS ~ A fluffbunny warren is organized, and almost everyone is assigned a job, so it can thrive. Very few rabbits actually go outside, though they are not confined to the underground, usually only a few brave rabbits go out to collect food or to scout. The jobs in the warren differ depending on the warren, some don't have a council and others have extra roles not included in the list below. ⭐︎Forager ~ Foragers go out in the surrounding area to find food and other resources and bring them back to the warren to trade or sell to the chefs. ⭐︎Chief ~ The chief of the warren is the one who keeps everything running, they do have power, but usually warren chiefs keep loose control, and mostly let the warren run itself, though it entirely depends on the rabbit. ⭐︎Healers ~ Medicinal Healers buy herbs from the foragers that gather them and sell their services for food. ⭐︎Council ~ The council is a group of rabbits who were chosen by the Chief, they help vote on thoughts made by them, as well as carry out their decisions. ⭐︎Chefs ~ Food is very important to fluffbunnies, and the chefs in the warren are very highly respected. Foragers bring them plants from the outside and the chefs sell it for a living. In the game i'm making, you will be able to cook meals and buy them from chefs, and it will be a very important aspect once I code it in! ⭐︎Nurturers - Nurturers can have a variety of jobs they carry out, but their primary job is to take care of the kits. Some of them take food to them in the mornings and evenings, some of them give lessons in flying and tell stories, and some devote themselves to taking care of them, and live in the nest with them and watch of the kits. ⭐︎Scouts ~ Scouts are select rabbits chosen for their more lean builds and stronger physique, they go out to keep an eye on predators and to explore the surrounding area, keeping note of plant life and other warrens and reporting back to the council. ~ RANKINGS AND NAMING ~ Fluffbunnies are named after anything, usually things found in nature, but can also have more rare names. They each have a suffix based on their age, which helps categorize them into different rankings. Fluffbunnies usually pass away at 2-3 years of age, but the oldest one has lived to age 6.
