infodump When i was younger i would have these fits. Not like, fits of crying or fits of extreme violence, but, like, a weird staticy sensation. Not like pins and needles (though i hate pins and needles it SUCKS it should go to McDonalds and smell ALL the food and not get to taste ONE BITE. Though McDonalds food is mega unhealthy so maybe thats better (apparently McDonalds coke tastes different. i dunno soda makes milk come out of my nose so i dont drink it)) BACK ON TRACK when i was younger i would have fits, all definitely under 15 seconds long and probably under 10 seconds too, where my vision would go completely static, ringing in my ears, and i couldn't comprehend what was around me. This still happens occasionally too but to a lesser degree cause i’ve found the root cause (probably) which is oxygen deprivation, so i can prevent it before it happens, and so my vision goes a little staticy but not fully and i still have self awareness and sometimes theres ringing and sometimes theres not BUT LETS GO ON The first one I remember was when i was like. 6? or 7? Yes 67 i know I was in the bathroom, my parents were there (i forget what was going on) and i began to have one of these fits. My vision went all staticy, my mind spaced out and my ears started ringing, and i started spinning in place (i could feel myself moving but i couldn’t comprehend what was happening cause this is like. THE MEGA space-out. Anyway). My parents were like “Stop. Dude stop your gonna hurt yourself” and then i became lucid again, realized what was happening, and played it off as nothing and went about my day as normal Sometimes when this happened i would be standing or in a position that would require some conscious thought or effort, and since i was spacing out i couldn't hold the position. One time i was sitting, and there was a metal armrest on the chair, and i started having a fit, and so i gripped the armrest before it started happening and holding on really hard because i couldnt tell where i was. i remember not being able to tell why i was holding on so hard to the handle while i was having the fit. Another time my dad knocked on my door, so i opened it and he began talking. As he was talking though i started having a fit, and there wasnt anything for me to hold onto (even if there was i didnt have the thought to hold onto it before it happened), and so i kind of just. Fell I wasnt hurt, i fell into a sitting position and he kept talking and didnt seem to notice anything was wrong, so when he was done talking I kind of just nodded like i understood and went about my day Another time when i was like 9 or 10 i was listening to music and i started having one of these fits, and so my vision went staticy, my mind spaced out and my ears started ringing (or maybe more of a buzzing), and i could feel a sensation on my face (though, again, couldn't comprehend what i was feeling because of the Mega Space-Out). The sensation kept happening until i became lucid again, where i could comprehend what was happening and could realize the sensation i was feeling was me blinking. This happened a whole bunch of other times too, i’m just picking out these few because they were memorable. It didn’t happen very often, but frequent enough to where i started wondering about it in recent years. I’m pretty confident i have something called Visual Snow Syndrome, which is, from what i know, an uncommon condition where you have either fine grains of static in your vision or floaters that move around, i think? All my life i’ve had fine grains of static in my vision, but no one else ever mentioned having static in theirs, so i looked it up one time and visual snow syndrome came up. It doesn’t really impact my life very much, except for in the dark where it makes it HARD to see things, especially if i’m looking directly at it, so i kind of have to look next to it to see it clearly (which i STILL cant see clearly cause of the static thats everywhere. Angry broccoli emoji). I dunno if the static in my vision has anything to do with having a fit of Staticy-Space-Out, but i thought i’d mention it I’ve only ever told one person about the static in my vision, and i’ve never told anyone about my Staticy Space Outs, so i dunno why i’m saying something now. Does anyone have any idea whats going on Do i have brain cancer or am i just weird
