I recently became interested in this JR West regional local line, the Fukuen Line, so I created this project. The line is divided at Fuchu Station: the northern section is non-electrified and operated by diesel trains, while the southern section is served by electric trains. This time, we'll focus on the northern section of the Fukuen Line (between Fuchu, Shiomachi, and Miyoshi). Please enjoy the onboard announcements from a single-car, one-man diesel train! (From Shiomachi, it’s technically the Geibi Line, where the tracks toward Bingo-Ochiai (the Geibi Line) and toward Fuchu (this Fukuen Line) split.) All scheduled trains on the Fukuen Line are local trains that stop at every station. However, on the southern section, there used to be rapid trains that skipped Ukai, Takagi, Kami-Tode, Chikata, Michinoue, and Bingo-Honjo. As part of the “Great Meme Reset”, these rapid services are being restored; however, since there are only two of them at 10:05 and 12:51, following the first local train to Fukuyama departing Fuchu at 05:23, they do not appear in this project... Hattabara Station, located between Kawasa and Bingo-Mikawa stations, was closed in 1989. However, since the Fukuen Line didn’t switch to one-man operation until 1991, it doesn’t appear in this project either. That said, the Sanko Line, which was shut down in 2018, is restored in this timeline (you’ll find out when you get to the end).
