yes i know i suck at singing, and that i can barely play the guitar, and the lyrics suck in some places, but this is something i wanted to make. and it was also improvised. cut me some slack. pretty sure i intended the lyrics to be about growing up through the lens of a caterpillar to a butterfly, but there could be other meanings in some of these lines here are the lyrics: I awake in an egg Ooze all over me And an entrance to the world With each passing day In a hill that's steep I try not to get hurt People look at me with wonder When I'm trying to wander And I can't stop growing So I must go away And hide in my cocoon I'll end up sleeping Waiting for the day I exit my cocoon Then I'll be free I hide from the world From adventure and danger Wings growing, I ponder Through all the hurdles When life got stranger How close is over?
