Since August 24, our Mother Ukraine has become an Independence country! :3 We have been independent for 35 years and our country has come a long glory and a fiery way! <3 Even in difficult times and all the trials we have hope and believe in the best † :) - >In honor of this here are the top 5 coolest facts about Ukraine: • 1. Homeland of the most famous Christmas song in the world: The famous hit "Carol of the Bells", which sounds in every Hollywood New Year's movie (for example, in "Alone at Home"), is the Ukrainian "Shchedryk". At the end of the 19th century, the Ukrainian folk song was brilliantly arranged by the composer Mykola Leontovych, and already in the 20th century it conquered the whole world. + The Ukrainian chieftain (and a spiritual seminary student) of the UPR (Ukrainian People's Republic) troops named Symon Petliura organized Ukrainian Republican Chapel for a "Shchedryk" tour of Europe for the choir of Oleksandr Košyts! The purpose of the tour was political — to declare to the world through culture an independent Ukraine, since diplomatic efforts were blocked. This is the moment when Leontovych's incredible talent and Petliura's determined heart became the pride of Ukraine, this is the moment when two Titans made our Motherland Ukraine famous throughout the world & declared our culture and will :D • 2. One of the deepest metro stations on the planet: The Arsenalna metro station in Kyiv is located at a depth of 105.5 meters underground. It held the absolute world record for a long time, and today it has left the second deepest in the world and the deepest in Europe. It takes over 5 minutes to descend or ascend using its two escalators. • 3. Owner of the longest musical instrument: The Ukrainian trembita is officially listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the longest wind musical instrument in the world. Its length is usually about 3 meters, but some specimens reach over 8 meters. Previously, Hutsul shepherds used it in the Carpathians instead of mobile communication to transmit signals from village to village. • 4. The world's first Constitution: In 1710, Ukrainian Hetman Pylyp Orlyk concluded the "Treaties and Regulations", which historians consider one of the first constitutions in the world which established the principles of the separation of powers between the legislative, executive, and judicial branches. • 5. The largest country located entirely in Europe: Ukraine has an area of 603,628 km², making it the largest country whose borders lie entirely within the European continent. - Well, that's all!
