LEVEL 0: The Threshold , The Lobby Level 0 is the first level of the backrooms, it consists of mono-yellow walls, wet carpet, buzzing fluorescent lights and approximately 600 million square miles of randomly placed walls. Geometry: The level is highly disorienting and nonlinear. Walking in a straight line can loop you back to your starting point, and attempting to retrace your steps will often lead to entirely different rooms. Hallucinations: The environment is completely devoid of living creatures and natural light. The constant, obtrusive hum of the lights is louder than in normal offices and frequently causes severe migraines. The profound solitude can also trigger auditory and visual hallucinations. Mental Hazard: While the level has no confirmed entities, the physical toll of isolation, disorientation, and the inability to find food or water makes surviving for long periods incredibly dangerous. The Manila Room: Wanderers can occasionally stumble upon this specific, mundane room with wooden chairs. It acts as a rare meeting point for survivors and is known to contain documents about surviving the Backrooms. Exits: The only way to escape Level 0 is to find a weak point in the geometry and intentionally "no-clip" through a wall or floor, which mostly takes wanders to level 1. Entrances: Any level can return to this level. No-clip in reality to end up here.
