Hey guys. Tomorrow will be three years since chapter one of WL holy moly. Happy anniversary. I chose to celebrate it on the fifth this year because I have a pretty downer announcement to make and I did not want to ruin artfight for anyone participating. The truth is mama was cheating on A Lullaby for the Future with a far more attractive project. I thought I could keep up with both but that did not work and now I have to get a divorce. :| What I am saying is that A Lullaby for the Future has been cancelled in favor of a new, original endeavor. I will no longer be working on it. I want to apologize to everyone, especially because I know I created a lot of build up for this project. I was not expecting to let you guys down, I know how much it sucks to be looking forward to a story for it to be cancelled. I also really loved these characters and was really excited to spend more time with them, so I am really sad to be leaving them all behind now— and leaving behind the love of this world that I shared with all of you guys. I’m not going to leave you guys with nothing. I scripted out three chapters and made a decent amount of chapter pages. I shared the first three chapters as far as I managed to go with them, as well as a project containing the entire plot outline for the comic after those chapters. I also want to explain why I left this project behind— yes, yes, I am working on a new comic, but I really hate leaving a comic unfinished when I get started on it, and so there are two reasons behind why I did what I did. One is God. I’m pretty sure God wanted me to move away from working on ALFTF. I’m not going to elaborate further— honestly there isn’t a lot to say on the matter. The second reason is that I feel that working on another warrior cats fanfic is really going to limit me. Working on fanfiction really limits my freedoms with my work as a comic artist. And ALFTF was really limiting as a storyteller. There is a limit to what I can do and the kind of story I can tell in a world that is tied to warrior cats, albeit loosely. Especially as it is a sequel and I could only make something that built off WL— which is a little frustrating because especially when I was just starting, I didn’t know what I wanted to say as an artist. I have other projects now with clearer messages that are so much more important to me. As for the comic I am working on now— I already posted about it actually, oh yeah~ I’m in the middle of figuring out the story. I was actually in the middle of SCRIPTING but the story was kinda bland so I had to start over. There goes my script though:[[[. I hopefully will be sharing it off site on webtune maybe tapastic and comic anger too but idk. Please don’t correct my spelling scratch censor bot made me— I’m not sure if I will be posting it on scratch bc look at what the censor bot made me do this is so stupid. And honestly im just going to get older and im just not as attached to the community. Almost all my moots are either in or applying to college. Most people I grew close to or look up to on this site are gone. I’m pretty sure my one roleplay partner may have just gone fully inactive. Scratch just isn’t my stomping ground anymore. And also Scratch kind of just sucks now in general, ngl. I will at least post some updates about my new project and announce when the new series comes out and where you can find it. I want to thank you all for being such a great audience for WL and for being so eager for ALFTF. It was one of the greatest joys of my life to be able to share these characters and their story with you, and I hope that even though I wasn’t able to bring you a finished comic, you enjoy what I have left to share with you and, if you can, join me in the next step of my journey.
