It was a late night. As usual. The heavy rain made the day suck at least a little bit less, but every day had been the same since you lost him a few weeks before. You two would always watch the rain perfectly correspond with the thunder and lightning. But now to you, the rain doesn't feel as redeeming anymore. You unlock the door before entering your dark apartment and sitting down at your desk, searching your bag for your phone only to find your ID had been ripped in two. "DAVI--rip--D BERNAUM" of course, the DMV kept your old name just to throw in another dash of nothing into my day that already felt like crap. As a last resort to somewhat salvage your day, you search "MILLENIUM GAMES" to see if anyone has made anything to celebrate the end of a millennia and surprisingly, you only find one with the name "FREE MILLENIUM GAME CD MAILED TO YOU!" it sounded sketchy but you click the link and the site shows you an empty box that asks "Please type your preferred address here." You, not being completely out of it, type your neighbors complex number in order to not get sent a pipe bomb. And what do you know, it actually showed up two day after. You struggle the package out of Mr. Morrison's hands and put it in the computer. The screen goes dark and lights up with the words "HAPPY MILLENIUM!" in pink font color with a starry background and despite the somewhat low quality of the game, it's actually pretty fun and simple. But you just can't shake this awful feeling from the back of your head.
