[NOTE: FallenWings is like an arc, and there will be at least 2 arcs. The name of the full series is FallenWings, the name of the first arc.] ------------[Hundreds of moons ago]------------ Grey opened his eyes. The valley? How did he get here? He swore he was just in his nest... "Grey..." A voice whispered. Was it...calling him? He smelled...He smelled smoke. Was that...a fire in the distance?! A fire in the valley?! "Grey..." The voice beckoned him forward again... ... Did it want him to...follow it...into a place that was actively catching on fire...? Oh, STAR STONES, no! He flared open his wings and took to the sky, his brown eyes searching for the others. "Fire! Fire in the valley! We need to get everybody off the ground! And-and we need to leave! Everyone needs to be out of the sky so they don't inhale smoke! I don't know where to go, but we have to go NOW!" He yowled. "Where IS everycat...Oh, maybe they already evacuate-" He couldn't bring himself to finish his words when he looked down. Cats were burning. Cats were mangled. Cats were spewed in trees with brutalized wings, unable to do anything as flames licked up the bark. Grey was frozen. "Grey..." The voice whispered again. He let out a hiss and turned to where he heard it, but he didn't see anybody there. "What have you done?! Why are you doing this?!" The silver-winged tom snarled. "/We/ did not do any of this..." The voice said... No, it was multiple voices all in unison. Was this...? Oh, thank the /waves/, it was just a vision. "Why...Why am I seeing this?" Grey asked. "This is to be the future..." The voices replied in that every unison. "Unless...You stop it." "But- I'm just one cat! What can I do to stop this fate from befalling everycat I care about? Tell me, please!" Grey begged, rushing forwards to try and find the voice. "This is what a FallenWings will unleash. On every generation." The voices yowled, growing louder and angrier. "FallenWings...? You mean that stupid nickname everybody calls Fallen because he can't fly? But that's- that's just a genetic mutation- Or- He'll grow into it! He has wings, he's one of us, he'll fly-" "He is NOT one of you! None of them are! To save them all, you must rid all generations of FallenWings!" "I- I don't understand- He'll do this? There'll be more like him? Surely they can't-" Grey started, but was cut off by a starry paw over his eyes, and he SAW it. A familiar brown-and-black tom was standing amid a few other cats. One of these cats had purple wings? Fallen's eyes sometimes turned purple, but- Oh yes, all their eyes are purple. 'Purple eyes mean a FallenWing,' he thought to himself before shaking his head. "FallenWing is just a stupid nickname to make fun of poor Fallen! He couldn't...Surely, he would never..." Grey murmured, voice cutting off as the FallenWings marched on the valley, and Fallen opened his paw, spilling flames. "Do you see now?" The voices said, starting to fade away, "Do you understand what you must do?" Grey had never been a cat for conflict. He actively tried to avoid it. But... FallenWings. He had been the one shown this vision for a reason, and he would be starblasted if he didn't stop them. He raised his head, just in time to see the starry cats start to fade away. His voice was clear, his hesitation vanished. He would do anything, /anything/, to protect the others. "I understand." ------------[Chapter End]------------ --[Characters in this chapter]-- (Enlighten me if I should give some more info. I used to just give looks, but I've decided to give all of this to avoid any confusion in my series, like there is in so many others. Also, this is a multi-main character series, it just has one main MAIN character out of the main characters :3) Grey: A bluish-gray tom with gray spots, brown eyes, and silver wings. Grey uses He/They pronouns and is about 9 moons old. Grey is Gay. Fallen: A dark brown tom with swirling black patterns, amber eyes, and brown wings. Fallen uses He/Him pronouns and is about 11 moons old.
