(Not as exciting as I hoped, but still) Chapter 19 - Sunday: Nuh uh, this day was not important and you do NOT need to read about it. I'm not writing about it, or giving my future self a chance to read about it. This day will probably be engraved into my memory till the day I d!e anyway. As I hid near the back of the Church, I breathed a sigh of relief. We were late, but we got there. I was just calming down, when I noticed a brown blonde head of hair. I gasp slightly, looking hurriedly at the row. Yup, two of Ethan's brothers were there..... And there was Ethan. I couldn't help smiling. Even if it also made me slightly sad to see him, my happiness was way stronger. As I stood at the back of the Church when people started going up for Communion, I watched the lines moving forward, then I realised that if Ethan was going up, he would probably look around. I was, of course, correct that he'd look around. He looked around himself and caught sight of me, we both looked away, but changed my mind and turned back to look. He turned back and we kept eye contact for a second. For the rest of the mass, Coco could probably tell I was happy. I walked down the hill hurriedly. I wanted to be at the bottom when Ethan came down. I saw him and Ben talking as they walked down the hill. I thought they might go into the little room, so I full speed ran to the outdoor area with a snack table. When I expected to turn and see them going to the room, I instead saw them both coming to the table too. I was waiting for the small kids to move, so I could grab a biscuit, when I looked up to see Ethan on the other side of the table. He looked up from the table waved, and smiled. I smiled back and waved, then retreated with my biscuit to the edge of the outdoor area. I walked back to my brother and Coco. 'Anyone in particular you wanted to talk to?' My brother, Aiden, asked. 'Yeah, two.....' I looked back at Ben and Ethan, almost jumping when I saw Ethan looking towards me. 'They're talking to each other.' I watched Ethan from the corner of my eye as my brother looked at the crowd. 'Ben and Ethan?' He asked. I laughed at how quickly he guessed, 'Yeah.' 'Are you going to talk to them?' He said. I looked at Aiden for a second. 'Um, probably not, they're talking.' 'Then say hi to both of them! It'll be a group chat. If you had phones that's what you'd do, make a group chat.' I laughed, 'True. Okay, I'll go.' I went back to my spot near the edge of the outdoor area. Ben looked over at me while he and Ethan continued talking and we both waved to each other. After a while, another guy from school, Sam, came over to Ben and Ethan and said hi. As Sam and Ethan kept talking, Ben slipped passed them and came over to me. 'Nice to see you again.' He said with a slight smirk, then glanced at Ethan. 'How are you?' I looked at Ethan for a second, '..... I'm fine.' 'Just fine?' He asked. 'I was going to tell him today, but he's talking to Sam now and I don't wanna interupt.' His eyebrows lowered as he thought. 'Well, you could just go over and say a quick hello.' 'Yeah.... I could.' I said slowly. We got distracted talking about random things, then I told him about Amy and Ethan. 'Oh,' As I had told the story, his face got more and more uncomfortable. 'That's...... Yeah.' Coco walked over to me and smirked. 'What do you want?' I asked her. 'Aiden wants you to talk to Ethan.' 'Go tell him Ethan's talking to someone. Go GO!' I shoved her back the direction of Aiden. 'My brother, Aiden, doesn't know I have a crush, but he does know I've said Ethan and I are friends.' Ben held back a laugh. 'Oh.' I looked over again, to see Ethan walking away and Sam walking over to us. 'What's happening over here? Hey Ben.' He said then turned to me. He smiled, 'Hello.' 'Hello...' I said slowly. We wouldn't usually talk, so I was confused. 'How are you?' 'I'm...' I glanced at Ethan, who was walking over to his brother, probably asking if they had to go. 'Alright.' Ben brother came over and started talking to Sam, when out of the corner of my eye, I saw Ethan walk back over and stand behind Sam. I glanced back at Ben and tried to signal with my eyes. 'I know he's right there, I can see him.' He whispered. 'Sorry, was that too loud? I don't want to stress you out.' I shook my head and looked straight where Ethan was. 'Honestly, I don't care anymore. I wanna tell him anyway.' 'It was my birthday yesterday actually.' I heard Ben's brother say to Sam. Ben looked at his brother and with a smirk said, 'He's really old now.' He turned to me and grinned. I giggled in return. Ethan looked at all of us and his smile lessened just a bit, 'I gotta go now.' He tapped Sam on the back, then waved to Ben and his brother. Then he turned to me and I could have sworn his smile returned. 'Bye.' I watched as Ethan went to get his brothers and I quickly said to Ben, 'Okay, I better be going now, that was good enough for today.'
I rushed over to Coco and Aiden, 'We can go now. Is the car parked over there? Or in the other car park?' 'It's down that way.' Aiden said with a raised eyebrow. 'Dad just moved it closer to the entrance.' Coco and Aiden looked back where I'd come, 'Did you talk to Ethan?' I turned and saw Ethan looking for his brother in the little room, 'No, but he has to go now.' 'Oh.... Okay.' Aiden said. I turned to walk down to the car, but saw something that sent shivers down my arms; 'Nevermind, we can stay a little longer.' I said as I saw Ethan and his brothers walk to the car park I was going. He usually went to the other car park. 'Why? Cause Ethan's going too? You can say hi!' Aiden replied and started leading us to the car park. I slowed right down, making Coco and Aiden slow down to stay next to me. As we walked behind them, I kept seeing Ethan glance back, either towards us or his siblings. I finally got to the car and quickly climbed in, staying silent as I looked around the car park, wondering if I could still see him. I turned to look forward and buckle myself in. 'I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable,' My brother said and I turned to look out the window, so he couldn't see my face. 'I'm just happy you found people you want to talk to.' The drive home was okay, but Coco kept leaning over and whispering stuff about Ethan, to me. She was making me slightly embarrassed, but as I had told her; 'Your teasing kinda makes me want to tell him more.' And as I sat there in the car, I thought that maybe, just maybe, I still had a slight chance. (Ch 20 next week prolly, toodles)
