**✿❀ Chapter 12 ❀✿** The very next day, Nora sat down in the Great Hall with a certain airiness about her. Jeremy, not long after Nora began to eat, sat down next to her. "Morning," He muttered, pouring himself some pumpkin juice. "Good morning," Nora said brightly. "Well, you're certainly in a good mood, aren't you? Can you pass the eggs." He added. Nora passed them and replied with, "Yup! I'm just uh....I'm going to meet a friend later at the pitch." "Oh? In this cold? I thought you hated the snow." He said. "Well, it should stop snowing by this evening, and besides, we'll be on brooms." She said, taking a bite of toast. "Might I ask who this 'friend' is?" Jeremy said as he began on his food. "Oh....um....It's Blair Mist. We met yesterday." Jeremy choked on his eggs and Nora patted his back, when he finally was able to speak again, he said. "You don't mean Blair Mist as in THE retired Gryffindor Beater, do you?" He said with a concerned frown. "Well, er-yes." She said awkwardly. "Why?" "Blair was my sister's girlfriend a few years ago." Well. That certainly went downhill really quick. "I know she's into girls, just don't go...." "Go what, Jeremy?" She asked. "You know....Getting friendly." He mumbled. Nora clenched her jaw and stood up, she turned and marched out of the Hall, dreading to be in the same class as him in fifteen minutes. *Who does he think he is? He can't control my relationships....* In Charms, Nora arrived slightly late due to a first year needing to be escorted to their next class. All the seats were occupied except for one next to Jeremy. She reluctantly sat down next to him and pulled out her wand then listened to Professor Flitwick's instructions on how to perform the slowing charm, Arresto Momentum. She and Jeremy practiced the motion multiple times before actually attempting to cast it. "Arresto Momentum!" Nora spoke clearly without the motion. Then the class was given each a Cornish Pixie to attempt to slow down. Nora was able to perform the spell without trouble, but Jeremy and a couple other students couldn't quite get a grasp on it. "What am I doing wrong....?" Jeremy muttered angrily to himself. "Motion," Nora said. "You're not doing it quite right. Here-" Nora grabbed his wand hand and moved it in the proper motion. "So just like a capital 'M'." He said, and their eyes met. Nora's heart rate skyrocketed, his bright, piercing green eyes gazed soothingly into her navy ones. The voices of the other students slowly got quieter, eventually becoming completely mute. They were lost in their own world. Just the two of them.... "Yeah...." She replied softly. "Brilliant work Miss Wesston and Mr. Selwyn!" Squeaked little Professor Flitwick, flashing them out of their own world, and back to the classroom. "Ten points to Slytherin!"
Once the students had a grasp on the spell, Flitwick dismissed the class. Nora gathered her things and headed out, not noticing Jeremy following her to Defense Against the Dark Arts with Professor Quirrel. When Nora opened the door and let it close behind her, it didn't, she looked behind to see him. "Did you follow me all the way here?" She asked as they sat down next to each other. "No, I followed a Hippogriff through the castle." He said sarcastically, some girls giggled in front of them. Yasmin and Yvette. Nora buried her face in her arms on her desk as Quirrel began to teach. After what felt like three days of utter embarrassment from the twins, Nora snatched up her bag and hurried out before anyone else. She rushed down to the common room, then up to her dorm to drop off her bag and grab her broom, beanie, and gloves, she then hurriedly made her way back up and to the pitch. The snow had seized, the sun was just barely peaking out from behind the clouds, but still a bitter breeze lingered through the air. Blair stood right outside the changing rooms with a broom in one hand, and a Beater's bat in the other. A large, handsome wooden box sat at her feet in the snow. "Did Madam Hooch let you borrow that?" Nora asked, walking towards Blair. "No, my mums got it for me for Christmas last year." She replied casually. "Oh, neat. Do your mums work in the Ministry?" "Yes, well, only one. She works in the Department of Mysteries as an Unspeakable. My other mum is a Magizoologist." "Fun! Life at your house must be pretty eventful then." Nora said, slipping her gloves on. Blair nodded, "It is. My mum brought home a Chimera once....Let's just say she slept on the sofa for a week." She chuckled. Nora smiled. "Is it....Nice, you know, having two mums?" "Oh yeah, they are very caring and kind. And they let me like who I want to." Blair said. "My mother and father both work in the Ministry, my mum is a high-ranking Ministry official and she works in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, she's trying to get the head position. While my father is an Auror." Nora explained. "Right, now let's get to practice. I'll be protecting you while you try to get the Snitch, got it?" Blair said, bending down to unleash the Bludgers from the box, Nora nodded and mounted her broom. "Three, two, one...." And they were off. The feeling of being back up on a broom at the pitch was a nostalgic feeling like no other, and even though the bitter breeze whipped her face violently, she felt a sort of warmth with Blair close to her. After Nora had caught it a couple times, they decided to head back to the castle, Nora assisted Blair in getting the Bludgers back in the box and Blair carried it up. "So....The next Hogsmeade visit is this weekend, I was going to ask this girl out...." Nora blushed violently, but thankfully her cheeks were already red due to the crisp wind. "Oh? Like on a date?" "Yeah....But I don't quite know how." Blair said with a faint smirk in her face. "Maybe if you get her alone, away from the crowds...." Nora suggested as they walked in the castle, a wave of warmth washed over them. Blair set down the box and seized Nora by the waist and pulled her into an empty classroom. "Is this alone enough?" Nora's heart raced, she felt her cheeks heat up, and she nodded as Blair pulled her closer. "Well, then. Do you want to go to Hogsmeade with me?" She whispered in her ear. Nora nodded again with a soft smile. Just then, the door burst open and they pushed away from each other.
