Chapter three part four... How long is this chapter? Btw I know I said amber will get claimed in this chapter but I changed my mind; it'll be too fast. So amber will get claimed in the next chapter (hopefully). This chapter is long anyway. ❀ Constructive Criticism approved! ❀ Feedback appreciated! ❀ No advertising ⚠ Important notice, please don't remix this ⚠ I spent a long time writing this. Chapter three~ °+`Amethyst Driftwood's guide to moving bookcases...+*• Percy was halfway through eating a burger at the poseidon table when he saw them. "No way," he muttered, a massive grin breaking across his face. "Hey! Thalia!" "Jackson," the girl with spiky hair called out, her eyes sparking with mischief. "Still alive, I see. What a disappointment." Percy rolled his eyes, setting his soda down as Thalia marched over and punched him hard on the arm. "Missed you too, Pinecone Face," he grumbled, rubbing his shoulder, though his grin only widened. Percy's eyes drifted to the girl standing right next to Thalia. He froze for a fraction of a second, like he recognised her and didnt expect to see her. "Hello, Percy," she said, her voice smooth and grounded. "Reyna!" Percy blurted out. Reyna let out a lighthearted laugh that seemed to startle Percy. as if he'd never heard her laugh. "She's been with us for a while now, and all she does is complain about how disorganized the Greeks are. I told her it's a trait originating from you." said the girl with spiky hair, thaila. "Hey! I am highly organized," Percy protested. "Annabeth makes me color-coordinate my planner." "You lost the planner two days ago, Percy," Annabeth corrected dryly, walking towards them and gesturing for me to follow. Reyna's face instantly softened into a warm smile. "Annabeth," she said, bypassing Percy entirely to greet her. "Reyna," Annabeth smiled back, stepping forward for a hug that reyna returned. "It is so good to see you. How's the hunt?" "It is... liberating," Reyna said honestly, looking around the peaceful camp. "No politics. No roman camp. Just the wild, my sisters, and the hunt. Thalia is a terrible influence, of course, but I manage." "roman camp?", i mouthed to percy. he gave me a look like 'ill tell you later'. "Excuse me?" Thalia fake-gasped, feigning offense. "I am a delight." "You yell at the wolves when they don't fetch your arrows," Reyna pointed out. "They have four legs and run faster than me! It's called delegation, Reyna!" thaila retored. As the two of them bickered, I noticed the rest of the pavilion had gone completely silent. Nobody was eating anymore. Every single camper was staring at the dozen girls in silver parkas like they were trying to figure out what the heck they were doing here. Chiron cleared his throat, his horse hooves clacking heavily against the marble floor as he trotted down from the head table. "Thalia," Chiron said, his deep voice rich with concern as he looked at thaila. "It is always an honor to see the Hunters of Artemis, But your arrival is unexpected. Why are you here? Is there trouble in the wild?" Thalia stopped arguing with Reyna and turned to Chiron, her grin returning. "No trouble, Chiron. Lady Artemis is tracking a monster trail up north, but she sent us down here to restock our supplies, get some rest... and, of course, to see if the campers have gotten any better at defending themselves." A few Hunters behind her smirked. Chiron sighed, a look of exhaustion passing over his face, like he already knew exactly what was coming next. He turned back toward the rows of tables and raised his goblet. "Campers," Chiron announced, his voice carrying over the silent pavilion. "In accordance with our longest standing traditions, whenever the Hunters visit us, a friendly competition is called. we shall hold a game of Capture the Flag!" The reaction was immediate. A groan erupted from every single table in the pavilion. thaila smirked and shoved percy playfully. "remember last time?" she asked. "oh no no im not playing again thank you very much!" percy said, raising his hands in mock surrender. "I thought so." thaila said.
