Hello! Merlin's back <3 This project here is a test and a work in project (WIP) where I tried out the pen tool on Scratch. Not all of the settings (such as the effects and brush size) work yet, but they hopefully will soon! Instructions are below. note: if you have touchscreen, use it, because it makes it a lot easier. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1) Click colors on the palette with your paintbrush (not your mouse, although the paintbrush does follow it) to pick and choose brush colors 2) Press right arrow key to change backdrops (I highly recommend the white one); or see inside if you're on mobile 3) To switch brush size, click the container with the brushes in it. After the brushes have moved, click which brush size you would like to use. The biggest is 25, the medium one is 10 (the original size), and the smallest is 5. After choosing a brush size, the brushes will automatically go back to the container. *CURRENTLY NOT WORKING* 4) Clicking the effects button will reveal the options to change brightness and transparency with a slider. *ALSO CURRENTLY NOT WORKING*
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ art by @merlincoder704 ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ a lot of this art (including the paintbrush) is from my watercolor cat project - make sure to check that out too! ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ comment if you have any suggestions or ideas to fix some of the bugs! UPDATE LOG: 6/6/26: shared "Pen Tool Experiment (WIP)" 6/7/26: made the paintbrush click more accurately and added more brush sizes that don't quite work just yet, also added effects that don't work yet either 6/17/26: finally added different sprites for each paint color, so now the brush color won't change every time you click your drawing by accident things i'm still working on: 1) adding more settings, like an eraser 2) making the effects and pen size code WORK!
