"L'Amour n'a pas de place pour moi dans son cœur. Si tu suis ma voie, il t'abandonnera toi aussi, et ce n'est pas un sort que je souhaiterais à qui que ce soit. Et pourtant, si tu ne me suis pas maintenant... tu ne survivras pas." (Love has no room in its heart for me. If you follow my path, it will abandon you too, and that's not a fate I'd wish on anyone. And yet, if you do not follow me now... you will not survive at all) ⇷—————————☾—————————⇸ Hello there, and welcome to Vérité’s first and probably only litter. Vérité is a cat who isn’t exactly parental, and she never would’ve considered having kits of her own, until she stumbled across these four as she wandered the forest alone. These kits will be found at 1 moon old, and well, Vérité doesn’t speak a lick of English, so they’ll only know and be fluent in French unless they learn irp. Opening date ✦ June 17th, 2026 Closing date ✧ July 2rd, 2026, 11pm MST Results ✦ Probably a day or two after it closes ⇷—————————☾—————————⇸ Rules: ✦ Please read and follow all the rules of TFCRP before applying. ✧ Be kind to everyone. No homophobia/transphobia/ablest comments/other kinds of bigotry! ✦ If you win the kits, please try to keep them alive for at least 20 moons. These guys are very much important to me, and I’d like to see them be used a little bit. If they die of inactivity before then or you’re banned from TFCRP during any point in their life, their designs will return to me. Of course, if something occurs and you can no longer be the kits roleplayer, feel free to bring it up to me and we can work something out. ✧ Don't put yours/others applications down. You will be removed from the running if you do. ✦ Do not beg for the kit in the comments. C0deword: A synonym for wind ✧ Project applications only please(or if you're doing a forum make a project then link the forum in the description). I might lose your application otherwise. ⇷—————————☾—————————⇸ Parenting: Vérité would have never chosen to be a parent. She had spent her entire life convinced that love was something she was not built to give or receive. It is a truth carved deep into her chest, unchanged by the weight of winds or the rushing of the rivers she wanders past. Tristesse… her Pére never loved her or her siblings, leaving them to fend for themselves at a young age. But Vérité would never consider doing that to her own kits. She was never made for love, but Vérité knows patience. And patience is something that she can give these children without burning her own paws in the process. Vérité would not call herself a mère. What a mère should be is something that Vérité never had a chance to learn. And in a lot of ways, she wouldn’t act like one. Vérité is quiet, and definitely not the most emotionally available to her kits. Her view of the world is simple and cynical. The world promises freedom, but it always seeks to take things away as its payment. Any kits she has will grow up isolated. Not because she wants them to be, the way her Pére did, but because it is the only way of life she knows. Her circle of cats has only grown smaller since her own kithood, and now, it is just her, and the kits she has found. She is not a parent, but she would return to them every time she left. She would position herself between them and the cold without being asked. She would hunt for them before herself. She will try, in her own way, to ensure that they never know the bitter chill of absence the way she did. But she would struggle to speak to them with warmth, would struggle to offer the soft words that come easily to cats who were loved the way she was never able to be. And she hopes, though even the thought alone burns in her chest, that it will be enough Notes: Vérité does her best to be a better parent than the ones she had, but ultimately, she has no choice but to isolate them because isolation is the only life she knows. She doesn’t speak the language of most of the cats in the area, and has no way of teaching them that language considering she doesn’t know where most of her own family is at this point. Vérité has also been wandering for almost 10 moons since her home was destroyed, and would likely continue to do so with the kits.
⇷—————————☾—————————⇸ The Kits: Conquête ✦ AMAB ✧ 11 in ✦ No Research "Petit souverain, né avec une couronne sur la tête. Quand tu partiras, j'espère que le monde s'inclinera devant toi. Puisse ton pouvoir suffire à te guider, toi et ta famille, en toute sécurité" (Little ruler, born with a crown upon your head. When you leave, I hope the world will bow before you. May your power be enough to guide you and your family safely.) Strong as a lion and mighty as a leopard, little Conquête bears the symbol of a crown over his brown chest fur. The colors of wood and maple cover his coat, darkening to allow patterns resembling that of a leopard cat and lightening to highlight his chest and cheeks. Light, striking eyes similar to his brother Guerre burn with fierce blueness. (Once upon a time, when the world had only taken our father from us, my brother promised to always protect us. It was a promise that was too heavy for him to bear. Please... do not follow that path. ) Clever as an owl and joyful as a bluebird, little Guerre holds the light colors not far off from the light the sun sheds in his pelt in the shades of cream and light brown, deepening into caramel colored leopard spots of a splotchy nature. Crossed over his heart are the curved swords of a strong heart. His eyes sparkle with a brilliant ocean blue. Pénurie ✦ AFAB ✧ 11 in ✦ No Research ✧ Preclaimed by @satxrdaye "Tes couleurs me rappellent mon père. Et pourtant, tu as plus d'amour à donner qu'il n'en avait pour nous... Cet amour est rare dans ce monde, fais attention à ne pas en donner trop." (Your colors remind me of my father. And yet, you have more love to give than he had for us... That love is scarce in this world, so be careful not to give too much of it away. ) Very unlike the rest of her litter, Pénurie's colors are very dark and closer to the shadows nocturnal animals slink around in, hunting their prey. Her dark, dark gray fur only darkens more to show those familiar leopard patterns before lightening up slightly on her chest. Dark blue eyes shine like the wings of a butterfly, taking on a lovely royal blue. Tuerie ✧ AFAB ✦ 12 in ✧ Congenital Cataracts ✦ Preclaimed by @Tweaking-Out "Le monde cherche toujours à nous priver de quelque chose. Et je suis sûr que, quel que soit le chemin que tu empruntes, il te privera toi aussi de quelque chose. Mais peut-être seras-tu celui ou celle qui mettra fin à ce cycle. " (The world always seeks to take things away. And I'm sure, no matter your path, it will take something from you too. But perhaps, you will be the inevitability that ends that cycle. ) Pale as a blizzard, Tuerie's pelt stands out as well against her other siblings, lighter and brighter than them all. Her fur yellows to a pale tan and darkens more to those noticeable leopard patterns, but always stays very light. Her light blue eyes contain a foggy glare, set like a snowy storm over her vision.
