hi ranking project, feel free to remix with ur own :) I'm gonna first break down what these tiers mean: S - extremely useful. Helpful in nearly every scenario and relatively easily obtainable. A - very useful. Can be helpful in most scenarios and is reasonable to obtain, or may be extremely helpful but a bit hard to get. B - Reasonably useful. Can be helpful in most scenarios but hard to obtain, or very helpful but only in certain scenarios. C - Somewhat helpful in some scenarios, hard to obtain. Or nearly useless but easy to obtain. D - Almost always useless, and hard to obtain. F - Useless or hardly any use, and extremely hard to obtain (like, high chance your cat dies level difficulty.) - S Tier - corvid: This is the only S tier because it's just kind of really good. Sometimes we have easy weekly quests where u can just do five, and since we all get free official accs, you could easily get this during kithood if you try. Not having to roll for secret meetup is a game changer when ur an appie and you get exp from meeting up with other cats who aren't a part of the clan, plus spying immunity and exp when secret murdering boost is also helpful. No downsides. - A tier - Snake: all you have to do is sneak kits out which is at no risk to you, and plus stealth is pretty good so you can put more points into fighting. Vulture: I don't even care about the ghost powers, but +2 exp for every immediate family member that dies is really good considering how fast cats die. You could get so much exp just from hosting low quality fcfs litters. The only drawback is you kinda have to be in a big lineage to be able to get and make the most use out of it, but I think you could fairly easily get 30 exp out of it. - B tier - Dog: Who doesn't want extra exp and an extra accessory? Seems easy enough to get, though having to be a kp for 30 days is kind of suffering sooo Bee: only useful for medics, but it is really useful and easy to get if you are a healing medic Frog: Easy to get if you're a medic, pretty much impossible if you're not one. The advantages aren't half bad though, especially if you wanna be an evil medic. Sheep: As long as theres an existing 25+ member group, it should be no trouble to get. It could be a fun way to change up your responsibilities, though getting enough healing exp to be useful might be a bit of a problem. Also, you can't heal yourself, so it's mostly a selfless tool. Lizard: I think going on an exploration is simple enough, and there are plenty of non-lizard reasons to go. Having a major can still kill u tho, and if luck isn't on your side its a bit useless which brings it down. - C tier - Swan: Useful if you're a high rank, but that's only a select few people. Also, you'd be useless switching to a medic as you would have like. 15 exp max and no way other than weeklies and training an appie to gain. and who chooses a swan haver for deputy over a warrior with way more exp... and plus, now you don't even need to be a swan haver to be chosen even if you don't meet the exp requirement, they literally made Sizzlingstar leader since the high exp candidates weren't as good. Basically the non-high rank uses aren't REAL lol Seagull: Same as snake but harder to get. Like have fun in jail for two weeks if you get caught stealing, plus you already need stealth to lower your chances of getting caught, so what's the point of getting seagull if your stealth is already good? Deer: 9 weeks to be 24 moons, 3 threads/week means you do 27 threads to claim the 30 exp at 24 moons. However, then it's 3 threads/week for 2 exp/week, so you'll be earning at a deficit of 0.66 exp/thread rather than 1/thread that would be earned in training or with weeklies. And you'd have to be 0 exp throughout apprentice hood. If you really hate grinding it could be okay, but there's still hunting/saftey to grind sooo - D tier - Turtle: really good in theory but like half of all turtle owners kill their character off before they even elder soooo. also elders are so inactive lol. Plus you'll probably get bored having the same elder for months. Horse: I could see this one being B tier or even A tier if there was an active horse community, but there isn't, so it's D. It's literally a 60 exp (30 fighting AND 30 stealth) debuff without another horse owner, so yeah. You'd also have to coordinate a lot for this one, which is just a pain. Giving up exp is easy enough, but raking in enough and having another person who can also do that to make horse worth it sounds like a pain. Rabbit: only useful for half the year, and literally a debuff for the other half. It really matters when your character is born and how long they live for this to be viable. I don't think the requirements are too hard, though not hunting for 30 days can be depending on the condition the clan is in. Cont in N + C
continued from instructions - F tier - Ultimate rock: somehow the best companion in F tier Pigeon: unobtainable and only exists to distract you trying to get it until you realize its impossible to have Wolverine: Killing 5 cats/weekly preds is going to need exp and make you enemies so the +15 healing boost may be used against you, plus killing so much puts ur life at risk in general. If you're motivated enough to do all that, the +5 exp from killing even more cats isn't really necessary because you're most likely already a heavy grinder Mouse: you have like a 60% chance of dying for this one and weekly kit only lasts like, the short time you're a kit. if weekly kit is a huge issue for your clan, your clan is cooked and mouse isn't saving you lol. Plus, you have like less than a 1% chance of being jumped by a weekly pred every week so :// the perks just aren't worth. the exp from sneaking out is good but the mouse itself isn't really useful. all art and companions by @generations-
