soundtrack: (Startup) Titan-Class Biosignatures - Subnautica 2 OST (meltdown phase 1) Final Chapter (I) [Ingame Mix] QSERF: The Final Chapter (Meltdown phase 2) Final Chapter (II) QSERF: The Final Chapter Lore: on May 25th 2139: there were thoughts on if Dark Energy, had components, so it could be artificially made instead of traveling to galaxies and bleeding it dry, the DEFR was that answer planned using a total of 180 blueprints, the DEFR (mark 01) was a 35 floor tall beast of a particle accelerator (the core chamber, not the core itself) the core was a 2 floor powerhouse, not only did it rip Dark energy into components such as hydrogen and quantum particles, it also worked more efficiently as a nuclear reactor, than an actual nuclear reactor. the mass of the DEFR superstructure exceeded total plans, so gravitational lasers were way out of the question (305B tons) it was supposed to be 3 times lighter (101.6B tons) but due to the unexpected requirements of the core chamber (had to be at a temp of ABSOLOUTE 0 / 0 kelvin), the core had to be made out of shrink-resistant materials. the fans had a vital role: they pulled air out of the chamber and filled it with a gas (known as NaF2OH5 or Titanium trioxide) colder than liquid nitrogen the first attempt didn't go too well, but was considered a success after a few tweaks of speed settings DEFR stands for: Dark Energy Fission Reactor and by 3300, the core was still in use and is still well maintained. however, in the year 3400, a sabotage group (later confirmed to be from Pinewood Industries) made their way into the facility, knocked out the guards, and [DATA EXPUNGED] the scientists, eventually managing to sabotage the Coolant pumps, and then the Core itself, slashing open colossal gashes in the external shell, it created massive leaks that eventually caused fires at the bottom of the core chamber, crating a violent sparking that reacted with the coolant, which creating a loud bang, which made the (now awake) guards to go deaf, then eventually, the fires reacted with the core and created an explosion that [CLASSIFIED] everybody within a 30 mile radius of the facility they eventually discovered the bodies of the Sabotage group and a new war began: this time, it involved the D.O.T.T., costing the lives of 35 million people, destroying almost 630,430 vehicles, and wrecking Universal transport routes for almost 1,500 years
