Chapter 3 The rest of the school days seemed to drag on forever. Everyone was lively and actively participating in their studies but on a Friday, when the students were having an Integrated Science lesson, a new student was introduced. The teacher, Mr. Smith, was facilitating a discussion on 'Living Cells in the Body and How Specialized Cells Are Formed'. Liz listened attentively making important notes in her book. Soon a girl walked into the class , a little taller than Liz. She stood in front of the class. She wore plain jeans and sneakers with a red T-shirt with the expression "Dance and Music", boldly imprinted with white ink. " Good day to you all. My name is Jessica Peters and I am your new student. I hope we have a fun time studying together.", she introduced herself to the class only to be replied with a swarm of questions. "How old are you?" "Which school did you come from?" "Do you know anyone from here?" "You look pale, are you okay?" "You look like a model, can I have your contact?" Liz just sat at the back staring, like she always did. "Jessica, please ignore all their unnecessary questions. There is an empty seat beside Elizabeth so you may sit beside her for the meantime", Mr. Smith said to Jessica. She strode over to her new sitting position and with a big smile greeted Liz. Liz couldn't help but smile back. "Hello, I'm Jessica. I have a feeling we're going to be close friends!" "I'm Elizabeth Wayne but everyone else calls me Liz" "Could you show me around after the school day?" "Sure." That was the beginning of a beautiful friendship but not until things started going downhill.
