TW: glitching. As Crater sat in the book nook, trying to find a comfortable position, she glanced around the library. It was a circular room, tall with a sunroof and little hanging figurines of dragons in flight. the shelves stretched up nearly to the ceiling and were stuffed with scrolls. The book nooks stacked on top of each other. They were made of polished wood lined with black cushions. Each on had its own window. Most of the nooks were empty, but Crater spotted one on the other side, near the top, with a dark red dragon and reading with his daughter. She saw him say something and look at her, and she burst into giggles. Another dragon, a NightWing, was perched on top of one of the shelves, staring absently at a scroll. An older SkyWing was gliding in circles near the sunroof, a vacant look on his face. A nook a little up and to the right of Crater's was packed with three SkyWing dragonets and another NightWing, laughing and chatting about their day. And, strangest of all, in the nook directly across from Crater, an adult RainWing was walking into a wall, feet moving but not wrinkling the cushions or pushing him forward. He didn't seem to notice that his face was being squashed. He was also rippling so many colors that Crater's eyes hurt from looking at him. Gila swooped up in front of Crater's nook, startling her out of her thoughts. "I'm sorry," she said blankly, almost robotically. "We don't have any scrolls on the subject you requested." "Oh, okay," Crater replied. "That's fine, I can come back some other time." She smiled, but immediately frowned when she saw the glare on Gila's face. "No," the librarian snapped. Crater could have sworn she saw pixelated particles in the air. "We do not OWN any of those scrolls. Leave the library immediately." "What? But-" "NOW!" Crater gathered her bag and leapt off the edge of the book nook and dove out of the library as fast as she could, terrified. Gila never yelled. What in the three moons was going on?
