*This is a blank starter project for the ScratchBit module. For the demo project, go here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1263641594/ ScratchBit is a powerful tool that converts a frame into an ultra-compressed save code. The ScratchBit module can be added to any project in less than 5 minutes, and can save and load codes from any other project with the module! HOW IT WORKS ----------------------------------------------------------------- ScratchBit uses color detection to encode each pixel into a hex code value, and then joins all the values together into a save code. It uses the pen extension to load images. FEATURES ----------------------------------------------------------------- - Save and share images, pen drawings, and more! ScratchBit enables you to turn images, pen drawings, and anything else visual in a Scratch project into a save code. - Compatibility with other projects Save codes can be loaded into any other project with the module, meaning you can save a drawing in one project and load it into a completely different project! - Scratch-optimized and web-optimized codes ScratchBit can generate two types of codes: a compressed code optimized for Scratch, and an uncompressed code that is compatible with most online HEX to PNG converters. (Web-optimized codes can get extremely long, depending on how large the frame is) HOW TO INSTALL ----------------------------------------------------------------- ScratchBit's module is extremely easy to install. The project contains quick install instructions, but if you want a full installation guide, check out the GitHub Documentation (linked in Notes and Credits). WHERE CAN I USE IT? ----------------------------------------------------------------- The best thing about ScratchBit is that save codes are compatible with any project with the module. To help you find projects to use codes with, we created a studio for projects that use the module: [link] If you use the module in your project, add it to this studio to connect with the community.
