SHIFTING THROUGH A DREAMSCAPE - Section 2: The Water ------------------------------------------------------------------------- I woke up again, but I wasn’t in the house anymore. I was in a large, dark body of water. I wasn’t drowning, though. I could still breathe. I don’t know why. Although I wasn’t drowning, I was sinking. I let myself sink. I didn’t try to swim back up to the surface. It was peaceful down here, all the sounds around me muffled by the water. Plus, I had the feeling that there wasn’t even a surface to swim up to. Just endless water, water, and water. Being surrounded by something so vast made me feel serene. You know, I never understood why some people say that vast areas such as outer space and the ocean scare them. How could something so beautiful and comforting ever strike fear in anyone? All of a sudden, something shot up from behind me and grabbed my face with an intense grip. I was about to exclaim in shock, but before I could, it started rapidly pulling me deeper and deeper into the water. I then lost consciousness again.
