Some of my brown-eyed friends have told me in the past that they think their eyes are boring. Plain. Uninteresting. THIS IS NOT TRUE I have told them this, but it's popped into my head several times and I wanted to make this. Your eyes do not need to be light-colored to be stunning. There are so many hues and shades of brown eyes out there, from browns so dark they'd swallow you to eyes of honey that glint gold when they hit the sun. When I think of brown eyes, I think of butterflies. I think of people from a hundred of years ago who faced hardships and prejudice with squared shoulders. I think of people who face those same hardships still to this day. I think of the sun and sunlight and castles and dark wooden desks and fields of tall grass and wildflowers. Brown eyes are warm, and pooling, and full. They're effortlessly natural but not in an average way, in a forest-y way. Make me think of animals like the deer, or the jaguar, or the horse, or literally any songbird. Brown eyes are captivating, and gorgeous, and hold so much. Maybe I'm wrong, but I feel like brown eyes aren't appreciated enough, or seen as as beautiful as blue or green eyes. Why are lighter eyes favored more? Brown eyes are stunning, dark, shining. Capable of expressing and smiling and crying. Please love and be proud of your brown eyes. Eyes are beautiful and different and hold so many stories and histories; brown, blue, green, hazel, amber, etc, seeing and unseeing. Your eyes are beautiful.
