So, a lot of Scratchers who started around the same time as me have quit the platform, even if they’re far more popular than me. So why have I, a little-known Scratcher with a grand total of 40-something followers, not given up and left for good? Why am I still around? Well, I’m not really sure. I don’t know why I haven’t quit. Maybe I’m still holding out hope that one day I’ll be noticed. Maybe I’m just too stubborn to admit defeat. Maybe I just want to share the music I like. Maybe I want to learn to animate. Or maybe I want to help those who need someone to care. I genuinely don’t know. Someday, this account will upload its last project. Someday, the “what I’ve been doing” will go dark. And someday, I’ll finally give up Scratch. But it won’t be now. For now, I’m not planning to leave. Eventually, I will. Eventually, my time on this site will come to an end. And eventually, the work of Ultimate_Scratcher20 will be buried under newer projects, some of them maybe featuring the same music mine does. It’s going to happen at some point. But for now, I’m content to stay, code, and continue to cater to the small amount of people who care enough about my shenanigans to view my projects. I don’t need a lot of followers. I don’t even want a lot of followers. As long as one of you cares about my nonsense, I’ll be happy. And I’ll continue to code, not to get popular, but for the people who want to see me, and because I enjoy it. Does it make me sad that I’m not popular enough to get on the “Trending” tab? Maybe a little. But not because I want to be popular. Because some of my projects aren’t for me. They’re for those who need a hand to lift them up every once in a while. And I want people to be able to see that someone, somewhere, cares about them. To those of you who see this, those who have survived what would destroy others, stay strong. Stay determined. Remember, you’re not alone in the dark.
