There's a bottle on my shelf. Plain. So no one notices it. Labeled "Emotions." Stainless steel. Hard. So that No one can break it. Full of carbonated Emotions. One day, the seal broke. Open. It fizzed up and spilled. A flood of popping Emotions. I took a sip of what was left. It hurt. Stung my mouth and throught. The pain of Emotions. So I cleaned it up, and put the lid back on. Slowly, It filled back up. The lid shook, and the seal cracked again. I was scared. Scared that they would see my Emotions. That they would clean them up for me, and feel the pain. And walk away. So I froze it. It sat there. Breaking in slow motion. So no one noticed it. So no one would notice it. E V E R A G A I N. But the bottle was broken. The seal was broken. Then, The mask was broken. The sweet, fizzy soda that I replaced it with. Ran out. Now, they're stuck drinking my carbonated emotions. Not all of them are used to the sting like I am. And yet, they drank it anyway. And smiled. And stayed. Through the stinging Emotions.
