After the collapse of Canada, major assets and industries became divided between the province, this was especially true for Ontario and Quebec, the two most populated provinces, having the largest territories out of any provinces, and linked through diplomacy, economy, and such. So, to re-align ourselves, Quebec proposes something, uniting once more to form Canada. It would help share the economy and allow goods to travel across the nation without the need to pay for entry fees. The Ontarians accept this proposal, and the Socialist Republic of East Canada is made. (Or just East Canada) Maine will also be incorporated into the new union, to help give us better access into the Atlantic through Portland.
