With the collapse of Canada, a new leader rises. A person, by the name of Jean Francois begins campaigning on preserving the Quebecois identity, and on a socialist government to unite the entirety of Canada, this time, under French rule. People begin to flock to his speeches, and he ends up orchestrating a coup with the support of the Quebecois people. Quebec begins rapid military industrialization, building factories on the right bank of the St. Lawrence, and recruiting men to the military and stationing them along the border. However, the states of the Atlantic, seeing this as a threat, block Quebecois access into the Atlantic, so, with the perfect casus beli, Quebec goes on the offensive. Quebecois forces begin assembling at Quebec City, and begin a swift operation to take the Atlantic States by force. Quebec declares war on Maine, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland and Labrador. From Montreal, they'd launch a surprise invasion into New Brunswick and Maine, using heavy aerial bombardment to weaken their defenses and help advance forces further into their territory. Quebecois forces would conduct a landing at Halifax and St. Johns, utilizing merchant ships that were seized by the Quebecois Coast Guard from the Atlantic States. We'd bombard the cities aerially, and begin landings forces in Halifax and St. Johns with lighting speed. Numerous offensives would begin in Labrador, due to its sparse population, forces would overcome any little resistance there is, and capturing strategic cities such as Labrador City. In PEI, forces would land in the west of the island, and advance towards Charlottetown, capturing it with ease and overcoming the small resistance that there is left in the region. PEI would fall first, the Newfoundland and Labrador, and eventually New Brunswick, Maine, and the final holdout, Nova Scotia. A peace treaty would be drafted, signed in Montreal. Treaty of Montreal: Article 1 - The militaries of all nations excluding Quebec will be disbanded. Article 2 - Quebec will annex Newfoundland and Labrador, PEI, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and the northern half of Maine. The rest would be given to New York as per our agreement. Article 3 - All government institutions will be absorbed into the new Quebecois government, and French will be mandated throughout the annexed regions Article 4 - Maine will become a puppet of Quebec, and all leaders will have to be accepted by Quebec in order to rule Maine
