slide 1 Alright here we go! misogyny is the systemic oppression and discrimination of women, be that cis, trans, or anything that society deems to not be "masculine enough". Anyone who is not seen as a man or 100% masculine by society will be affected by misogyny. Misogyny leads to misandry. Misandry is a term used to describe oppression of men, which very clearly can not exist like this. Men can face gender discrimination, but its not systemic. It doesnt harm their ability to sustain themselves (+) or literally have them fear for their lives, purely just because they are a man. This doesnt mean men cant face harm in the way women have, this doesnt mean men cant be cautious around women, this doesnt mean that individual experiences dont exist. Men do not face oppression for being men. And that will (hopefully. As no one deserves that) ever happen. Do not equate "misandry" experiences to that of misogyny. They are not the same. they n ever will be
these do not reflect my opinions now btw my thoughts on misandry have been altered. i still do not percieve it as as serious as misogyny but it is something that is mainly connected to anti arab and antiblack racism
