(“Lunar, you and your mother have so much in common. I wish you could meet her.”) ~~~ Lunar and Lily hung out during free time that day, they walked around, learning more about each other. Lunar learned that Lily, and her twin brother Kai, were both children of Athena. She also learned that they were 15 years old. Lily was surprised to hear that Lunar was 16, she was very short for her age. Lunar told Lily about her childhood, growing up in Delos, and about her papa. Lily was a very good listener, and Lunar enjoyed talking to her. After a while, it was time for dinner and the two girls split ways. Lunar walked to the Hermes table, where she sat quietly and ate a plain biscuit, and an apple. Cecil, who had sat down next to her, glanced uneasily at what she was eating. “Lunar, how come you never eat very much?” He asked, careful not to be too direct. “If you really want to know, I don’t eat very much because I’ve never been a very hungry person. All my life I have eaten very little.” Lunar said with a sigh. Cecil nodded understandingly. After dinner, all the campers in Hermes Cabin headed back to the cabin. They all showered, brushed their teeth, and put on their night-clothes. Lunar finally climbed into bed, exhausted from the day. Lunar had heard stories of the Hunters of Artemis during breakfast and dinner today, so she was excited to meet them. She was told that Artemis herself would be there with them. Lunar knew a lot about the goddess of the hunt, Artemis had always been Lunar’s favorite goddess. She was strong, and didn’t care for the affections of men or women alike. Lunar hoped she was as incredible as she had been told. ~ When Lunar awoke the next morning, there was a specific confidence in the way she walked. It was Wednesday now, so all the cabins had inspections. After getting ready, Lunar carefully cleaned her area, and made sure it was all organized and neat. When it was time for breakfast, they all made their way to the dining pavilion. While Lunar ate her bagel, she thought over what she knew about Artemis. Lunar knew that she had become a maiden in the second archonship of Herakleides. The goddess of the hunt was a large symbol of Delos, given that it was the goddess’s homeland. Lunar had heard from the other campers, that the Hunters of Artemis were almost all young girls, who pledged themselves to Artemis, vowing to remain maidens eternally. Never to marry, or fall in love. Lunar thought that being a Hunter of Artemis would be an interesting experience, running in the wild and being young forever. Though, the appeal of not falling in love wasn’t as appealing to Lunar. The Hunters would be arriving this afternoon, at about 1 P.M. Until then, the Hermes Cabin had chores, and arts and crafts. All campers had the afternoon off because of the Hunters. The morning flew by fairly quickly, Hermes Cabin activities flying by. At lunch, Lunar merely sat at Hermes' table, listening to the chatter, and bouncing her leg. After all of the Hermes campers finished eating, they headed back to the cabin to rest a bit. It was about 12:30, so the Hunters would be there very soon. At the cabin, most of the campers chattered on their beds, though some, like Lunar, were reading or doing another quiet activity. Connor Stoll was planning a prank for someone, Cecil was talking to some of the other campers, and Lunar was writing in the small diary Percy had bought Lunar her first day at camp. At 1, all the campers ran to see if the Hunters were here yet, and they were. Lunar didn’t know who any of them were, but they all looked stunning. Lunar saw a girl, with black hair and electric blue eyes, who looked to be Artemis’ second in command, talking to Percy. Lunar could barely understand any of what anyone was saying. There was no ancient Greek being spoken. Lunar started to feel really overwhelmed, all the chatter yet she couldn’t understand any of it. Until Lunar saw a young woman staring at her from where she stood next to Chiron. She looked surprised, her eyes wide, as if recognising Lunar.
