(Lunar, my little star. There are so many things you need to know. If only I could tell you.”) ~~~ Lunar was laying in her bed, waiting for Percy’s girlfriend to get Lunar. When she heard a knock on the door, she got up quietly, grabbed her stuff, and walked outside. “Hey, Lunar right?” Said the blonde girl on the porch to Hermes Cabin. Lunar noticed right away the way the girl carried herself, strong and confident, as if she knew she was feared. And Lunar respected her right away for that. “Yes, I’m Lunar. You must be Annabeth, correct?” Lunar said. Annabeth nodded, then waved for Lunar to follow her. They made their way to the showers, where Annabeth showed Lunar how they worked. Annabeth took a seat while Lunar showered, then once she was done, walked Lunar back to her cabin. Once back on the patio she said, “Lunar, if you ever need someone to talk to, I’d be glad to listen.” Lunar nodded before saying goodnight and going quietly into her cabin. After Lunar got situated in her bed, she thought over the events of the day. A lot had happened that day, waking up in the park, meeting Percy, discovering she was a demigod, moving into Hermes Cabin. Lunar thought about the archery range, how she had made a bullseye on her first try, meeting those twins. Lunar slightly smiled, thinking about Kai, the handsome boy of the two twins. She had never thought very many people attractive, but she thought Kai was very attractive. There was something about him… Lunar would figure out what interested her so much. Lunar wondered who her godly parent was, it was one of the goddesses. She knew that much. Her papa had talked about her mother some, telling Lunar how she was beautiful, and a very kind woman. Lunar hoped she would get to meet her soon. ~ When Lunar awoke the next morning, there was a very energetic Connor Stoll in her face. “Gah!” Lunar exclaimed, seeing him. “Morning sunshine! Let’s get to breakfast, we have a lot to do today!” Connor said energetically, before running off to get himself ready for the day. Lunar collected what she needed, before walking to the shower block to get ready for the day. Lunar put on a simple Camp Half-Blood shirt, and a pair of shorts, as Annabeth had told her they were called last night, in a material Lunar didn’t know. Kind of rough, but still comfortable. Lunar walked back to the cabin to put away her night-clothes. After she had put away her stuff, Cecil came over to her. “Ready for the day ,Lunar?” He asked, slightly on edge, the last time they had talked the night before, was at dinner. Lunar nodded, and followed Cecil out of the cabin. At breakfast, all Lunar ate was a plain bagel and an apple. Cecil looked concerned, but didn’t mention it this time, not wanting to upset Lunar like last night. As everyone was just about to leave the dining pavilion, Chiron said, “Attention campers, the Hunters of Artemis will be arriving tomorrow. That is all.” He said, dismissing everyone. The Hermes cabin members went to the training arena first. When they arrived there, they all found a partner. Cecil paired up with Lunar, showing her the basics of sword training. After a bit of Lunar flailing around terribly, Cecil suggested she try a different weapon. Lunar decided to try a small, sleek silver hunting knife. “That’s the kind of hunting knife the Hunters of Artemis use.” Cecil informed her. When they tried sparring again, Lunar did much better. “I guess a sword just isn’t my weapon.” Lunar said, smiling down at the knife in her hand. Cecil nodded, grinning at her. Chiron walked over from where he had been advising some other campers, and smiled at Lunar saying,”You look quite at home with that knife, Lunar. Keep it. Every demigod needs a weapon of their own.” Lunar smiled and nodded. Chiron handed her a leg sheath, and she wrapped it around her leg, sliding the knife into it. Before long, it was time for the Hermes cabin to head to chores, so Lunar and Cecil walked towards their chore, talking about training.
