YEAR 2 | SPOP WEEKEND wow, can you believe it's already been a year since the first spw? well we sure can't either! it's the beginning of a new era for spw. this year, instead of partying on an island, we're headed to the big city. spw's this year will be bigger and better than ever, and are involving the entire management of the 2026 spop community. 2026 will host the fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth and eleventh spw's, three of which will be special editions. leave a comment if you would like to be added to the spw announcement ping list !! FULL RULES teams will be sorted by participants choosing one of a couple different answers to a question. they will compete in various categories, which will follow. ➀ POPULARITY the most popular team, aka the team with the most members on it. ➁ RENOWN (FFA) the team with the highest amount of renown points generated from rotational challenges, ffa daily challenges and event challenges. see below for more information about renown points and daily challenges. ③ RENOWN (ALT) the team with the highest amount of renown points generated from alt daily challenges. see below for more information about renown points and daily challenges. there will also be a leaderboard of the three "top contributors" on each team, the participants who earned the most renown on their own. this will have no effect on the overall results, it's just shoutouts! ✈ RENOWN — 02 renown is a scoring system used in these events. it's inspired by the scoring systems used in places like SWC, based around three different types of challenges. here are the ways you can earn renown for your team. go through this list whenever you share a project during the event to see how many points it's worth: ROTATIONAL | 1500 DAILY | 5000 EVENT | varies, see the spw hub desc to claim your renown (updated june 2026), make sure you already have an "spw folder" where you store all your finished challenges, and make a list of every challenge you've done in the description + what they're worth. it's not required, but if you'd keep a personal total as well, that'd save time for the hosts when it comes time to add everything up at the end! ✈ RANKS — 03 (NEW/SPW VII) ah, a long-awaited new feature! if you want to, you can keep track of your rank in the description of your spw folder as well. the top ranked participants will also be shouted out in the results with the top contributors! here are the ranks and how to earn them: (TEAM DAWN IS JUST THE EXAMPLE, REPLACE IT WITH YOUR TEAM NAME. so if you're team surf for example you'd be a "surf fan/trainee/idol/superstar") DAWN FAN | the default rank everyone starts as. DAWN TRAINEE | you've done 1+ challenges DAWN IDOL | you've done 3+ challenges DAWN SUPERSTAR | you've done 7+ challenges what's this? you can rank up even more! every 2 challenges after you achieve SUPERSTAR adds to your rank: etc. you would be "SUPERSTAR +1" after doing 9 challenges and "SUPERSTAR +2" after doing 11 challenges and so on. ✈ FREE & ALT — 04 free (sometimes ffa/free-for-all) and alt are the two types of daily challenges. free challenges are all singing-related, while alt challenges are related to art, writing or design. ✈ EVENT CHALLENGES — 05 during events, there will be one overarching challenge that is a step up in difficulty from ordinary daily challenges, and that's the event challenge. it works pretty much the same way, but it's worth a lot more renown. it usually involves some kind of collaboration with other eventgoers, and if it does, your collaborators have to be on the same team as you. also, each time an event challenge is done, the people who completed it will be shouted out in the main studio, along with a link to the project. ✈ ROTATIONALS — 06 if you don't feel up to doing dailies, look no further! enter rotationals, bite-sized challenges that can be completed in 15 minutes or less. the active one changes every 6 hours, so make sure to get them in on time! ✈ FEVER PERIODS — 07 four times an event, there will be an elusive hour announced in the spw hub where all challenges completed during it will be worth 10x their original value. NOTE unlike in SWC, dailies and other challenges will not be listed in the description. there will be a project called the SPW HUB that will consistently show the latest challenges.
