While the UKAC invasion of Blonckstein could be considered a "battle" of sorts, little organized defense was put up as all of Ketz's troops were fighting the government elsewhere. So, Nourdeberg, an edge city off the northwestern tip of Blonckstein, instead finds itself as the first major engagement of the civil war. The city has been ensnared in a battle from all sides, with military administration troops holding the city from the north and west while UKAC task forces push from the south. Numbers are about equal, and the battle has grounded into a stalemate until either side decides to attempt a breakout. Close-quarters urban fighting in the central economic district has been grueling for both sides. Large swathes of Nourdebergers have been fleeing through an engagement-less pocket to the east of the city, with most hoping to reach Cresvce and meet up with the peacekeeping forces there. If Nourdeberg falls to UKAC forces, it would open up a major highway interchange that leads to independent Kap-Aarschen and Ketz's headquarters, Kalleschrue. On the other hand, if the military administration prevails, the military could launch a counter-offensive to retake Blonckstein. All in all, Nourdeberg is a pretty crucial city.
I cobbled something together for the art very quickly cause I was lazy also note - ketz's forces use the same blerper troops as the central government (cause the army split), just with some markings to show that they're with the military administration
