Drops balls. At pegs, balls go left or right 50/50 chance (can change this with slider % go left) Despite random left or right moves, bell shape results
As a ball falls through the pegs, it has a 50/50 chance of falling left or right at each level. There's many more ways (paths) to reach the middle bins than the far left or right bins. To reach the far left, a ball must bounce left at every single peg, which is highly unlikely if you left the % left at 50. Ball stacks form a binomial distribution, just by random left or right movement at pegs in this peg game (Plinko) With increasing rows of pegs on the board, the binomial distribution becomes nearly indistinguishable from a normal distribution, a "bell curve" 3 years ago I had shared this with fewer rows of pegs called it a coin flip distribution, Galton's box model of binomial distribution, which is correct but not as simple as the wording I use here
