I'm gonna world build. its a steampunk/solarpunk society, and open to ideas. there are multi level cities. highest get to see a stolen sun, and the ones down below(sl_ms) get to live in a broken society. the outside of the society is a deserted wasteland with small groups of people banished from various crimes. they use the sun to create rifts to other universes, and the lower levels rebel. there are places that are run down and infested with red creatures that infect you and eat you're soul.
I'm taking inspiration from Metroid, Splatoon, and stray.
